Jay Gruden: Su’a Cravens coming along, and learning about social media

Washington rookie Su’a Cravens is getting better, and his social media presence is going away.

Both are positive developments, as far as coach Jay Gruden is concerned.

Cravens originally posted on Snapchat that his concussion caused permanent vision problems that will cause him to wear glasses the rest of his life. That was quickly denied, and Gruden said yesterday things were looking better all the way around.

“He’s coming along pretty good, as we understand,” Gruden said, via J.P. Finlay of CSNMidAtlantic.com. “He’s still in the [NFL concussion] program and we’re hoping to get positive results here shortly. As far as his Snapchat is concerned, I think he deleted his account, hopefully, for a week or so.”

Cravens has since deleted the original post, and Gruden said the dramatic reaction was an innocent mistake.

“He understands now fully what not to put on Instagram and Twitter and what to put on there,” Gruden said. “I don’t think he meant anything by it.”

Cravens did some limited work yesterday, and Gruden said they’re still working through the steps of the concussion protocol.
