No Darrelle Revis or Nick Mangold at practice Thursday

When the Jets opened practice in front of the media on Thursday afternoon, there was some reason to think cornerback Darrelle Revis might participate in practice for the first time since hurting his hamstring against the Seahawks in Week Four.

Revis had his helmet for that opening stage of the session, something that has not been the case in his recent appearances as a practice observer. The on-field work turned out to be the same as those other practices, however.

Coach Todd Bowles said that Revis did not take part in practice, joining center Nick Mangold, who has a knee injury, and linebacker David Harris, who has a hamstring injury, on the sideline.

“They’re progressing along … I’ll probably get a better feel on Friday,” Bowles said.

The 1-4 Jets will be in Arizona to face the Cardinals on Monday night, so they’ll have an extra day to work with in hopes of getting the three starters back into the lineup.

Nice salary allocation and investments under the cap as you “rebuild” yet again.

So far the AFCE has swept the Cards this year. Maybe lightening will strike and the the Jets will pull this off. Then again, I might win the lottery Friday night.

Darrrelle Revis’ salary this year is over $1 million per game. Thumbs up if he is worth it, thumbs down if the Jets got screwed.

The best part about the Revis deal was the Jets spent 48 hours negotiating against themselves to reach an agreement on that ridiculously over priced salary… The Jets fans were pretty loud in August, not so much now…

Blow it up, team, ownership, & coaches.

Put the fans out their misery, all 48 years worth.

Mangold is still a great player and I hope he recovers, but Revis is done being a top 5 corner.

AZ fan here….Jets are good and Todd B is smart. I’ll be at the game…and nobody here is discounting the Jets in this game.

Too bad there will be a zillion Jets fans in the stadium. Typical game. Half the stadium is fans of the other team. That’s Phoenix.
