The New England Patriots have decided one Gronkowski is enough.
The team released fullback Glenn Gronkowski from their practice squad on Wednesday.
Glenn, younger brother of Patriots tight end Rob, was signed by New England on Oct. 1. He signed with the Buffalo Bills after going undrafted earlier this year. He played in one game before being released.
Practice squads routinely change. With New England’s previous opponent – the Cleveland Browns – having a fullback on their roster in Malcolm Johnson, Gronkowski could have given the Patriots the looks they needed to prepare for the team in practice.
So until the Patriots need to prepare for another fullback, Rob Gronkowski will have to fill the team’s Gronk needs all by himself.
