Kirk Cousins‘ second touchdown pass of the game gave the Redskins a 14-0 lead over the Eagles in the second quarter.

The Eagles got on the board when rookie Wendell Smallwood returned the ensuing kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown to make it 14-7. The Eagles needed that badly as they’ve struggled to get anything going offensively.

Cousins hit Vernon Davis from 13 yards out for the second score. The first was a 16-yarder to Jamison Crowder late in the first quarter.

Cousins caught two Eagles defenders looking outside when Davis cut inside on the second touchdown pass. Davis is playing because Jordan Reed is out with a concussion.

Cousins is off to an 8-of-11 start for 104 yards. Redskins running back Robert Kelley has three carries for 51 yards.
