Jamie Collins, Cyrus Jones out for Patriots Sunday

The Patriots will be missing a starting linebacker for Sunday’s game against the Bengals.

Jamie Collins is on the list of inactive players after drawing a questionable tag on Friday’s injury report. Collins hurt his hip on Thursday, leading to limited practices the last two days of the week and a day off on Sunday.

Elandon Roberts and Barkevious Mingo are options to see more time at linebacker with Shea McClellin also inactive and Jonathan Freeny hitting injured reserve on Saturday.

The Patriots also made rookie cornerback Cyrus Jones inactive. There were no health concerns with Jones during the week, but he was ejected from last Sunday’s game against the Browns.

Justin Coleman is also inactive, which leaves Eric Rowe and Jonathan Jones in position to see time at corner this week.

Brady and the offense must (and will…) have a big day to offset the gaps in the D.

Welcome to the doghouse Cyrus. Better get your act together if you want to get back on the field.

Belichick does not tolerate stupid penalties.

Freeny and Collins both out and they loaded up on D linemen for the game day roster. Either there will be some interesting alignments out there or Mingo and Elandon Roberts are going to get their chance to shine.

When you get a stupid penalty in a game where Belichick was embarrassed and exposed as an ordinary coach without Brady, you’re in big trouble.

Jealousy is such a tough emotion to deal with. Seems to have clouded your judgement.

It’s October 16 and the Indy will be officially eliminated today. Luckily the Patriots have an ordinary coach, as opposed to the Colts whose coach and GM both suck royally.

“When you get a stupid penalty in a game where Belichick was embarrassed and exposed as an ordinary coach without Brady”

Yeah, because going 3-1 without Brady with 2nd and 3rd string QBs is being “embarrassed” while most of the coaches around the league can’t win with their starter.

Collins is the best player on the Patriots’ D….he is a big loss….
