As the Giants try to find the right formula offensively, they apparently will be getting their starting running back back today, after a three-week absence.

Rashad Jennings is expected to play today for the first time since Week Two, via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Jennings injured his thumb in a Week Two victory over the Saints, and the Giants haven’t won a single game without him.

Rapoport’s report comes with a caveat: The Giants want to take one last look at the thumb before the game. If all is good, Jennings will be back on the field, and the Giants’ chances of stopping their three-game losing streak will be enhanced.

Jennings had 75 yards rushing on 18 carries against the Cowboys in Week One, and 27 yards on 13 carries against New Orleans in Week Two.
