The Eagles just didn’t have enough offense.

The Redskins got their run game going and had just enough left to hang and win their fourth straight.

The Redskins didn’t give up an offensive touchdown and got enough stops down the stretch to preserve a 27-20 victory Sunday. Neither team scored a touchdown in the second half.

The Eagles got both of their touchdowns in the second quarter, on an 86-yard kickoff return by Wendell Smallwood and a 64-yard interception return by Malcolm Jenkins. The Redskins went up for good on a 1-yard run by Matt Jones late in the first half but the Eagles were in the game despite having just 42 yards of first-half offense.

Kirk Cousins threw a touchdown pass to Jamison Crowder in the first quarter and another to Vernon Davis in the second quarter. Cousins finished 18-of-34 for 263 yards. The Redskins ran for 230 yards; Jones ran for 135.

The Redskins outgained the Eagles, 493-239. Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was 11-of-22 passing for 179 yards and was sacked five times.

The Eagles racked up 13 penalties for 114 yards, averaged just 5.4 yards per pass and were 4-of-12 on third-down conversions.

The Eagles are 3-2 and host the unbeaten Vikings next week in the Sam Bradford Bowl.
