Aaron Rodgers needed a stiff drink after latest offensive flop

The Packers have dropped to 3-2 on the season and Mike Florio says that if changes need to be made, it's not Aaron Rodgers that will be forced to leave.

Aaron Rodgers’ plan in the moments after losing to the Cowboys was probably similar to the fans that watched him Sunday.

Have a glass of scotch and chill out a little bit [and] watch the film,” Rodgers said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. “I’m my biggest critic, and I look at this as finely as I look at every other game and improve.”

He likely saw plenty to improve on (at least until it became glasses, plural, which would be understandable). The Packers offense managed just 16 points, and actually heard boos from their home fans.

“Look, we’re upset, they’re upset, it’s part of it,” Rodgers said. “It’s not the first time, probably won’t be the last time.”

Despite having a former MVP at the helm, and Jordy Nelson back from last year’s torn ACL, the Packers entered the game 27th in the league in passing and Rodgers was the least accurate among qualifying quarterbacks at 56.1 percent. So even though he completed 73.8 percent of his passes against the Cowboys, the only touchdown drive came late in the fourth quarter, after the crowd had already witnessed two turnovers.

Now, they have to turn around and play the Bears on short rest, which is either good or bad.

“The only silver lining is we play again in four days,” Rodgers said. “Hopefully wash this taste out of our mouth pretty quickly.”

If that doesn’t, the scotch will.
