The Texans are struggling to keep cornerbacks on the field, and the latest injury could create a long-term absence.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Texans cornerback Kevin Johnson suffered a broken foot last night against the Colts and could lead to a long-term absence.

Johnson only missed one snap last night, but was limping badly after the game and X-rays revealed the injury afterward.

Last year’s first-round pick, Johnson started last night and played well. The Texans were without fellow starter Johnathan Joseph for stretches of the game with an elbow injury but he returned to the game. Kareem Jackson is working his way back from an ankle injury, but was inactive last night as well.

Johnson played through a foot injury last year and had surgery to repair the problem this offseason.
