49ers running back Carlos Hyde watched Tuesday’s practice with his right arm in a sling, CSNBayArea.com reported.
It’s a long way to Sunday, but that’s a sign that Hyde’s status is at least questionable for the 49ers’ game vs. the Buccaneeers.
Hyde left last week’s loss in Buffalo in the third quarter with what the team called a shoulder injury. Losing Hyde for any period of time would be a big blow for an already struggling 49ers team.
Hyde leads the team with 429 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Hyde had seven total rushing touchdowns over his first two seasons.
He’s also caught 13 passes for 66 yards this season.
Behind Hyde on the depth chart are Shaun Draughn, Mike Davis and DuJuan Harris.
