The Colts claimed defensive end/outside linebacker LaVar Edwards via waivers from the Panthers on Wednesday.

Edwards was waived by the Panthers on Tuesday. He had played in five games and recorded one sack this season.

A fifth-round pick of the Titans in 2013, Edwards has also spent time with the Bills, Raiders Bears and Cowboys. He’s played in 17 career games.

To make room for Edwards, the Colts waived cornerback Darryl Morris. He had played in all six games and started one.
