Dez Bryant cheats death while making healthy soup

Dez Bryant makes his living with his body, so it’s good to know he’s at least taking care of it.

Sort of.

Via Todd Archer of ESPN.com, the Cowboys wide receiver was at practice Wednesday with tape on his right middle and ring fingers, after a potentially calamitous soup accident.

Bryant said he cut his fingers while chopping up some carrots for homemade soup. He said the injury was “extremely, extremely minor.”

Of course, the bigger concern is with his recovery from a knee injury, but he said he’d be fine when the Cowboys return from their bye week to play the Eagles in Week Eight.

And it’s also good to know that whenever he meets up with the Giants, he’ll have a decided culinary advantage over cornerback Eli Apple.

We will know if the almighty is a patriots fan if the Cowboys find a way to go 8-8.

That picture of Carrot Top is the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen.

He never worked in a restaurant or Pizza place. Once you learn to use a knife from someone who has experience, you never forget.

I hate seeing injuries. Even for opposing players. It’s entertainment, so let’s watch the best play. Hoping he is fine.

Well, that might be an overreaction.

He cut his finger. That’s not an injury it’s a cut finger.

I guess this is the side effect to taking dodge ball out of our schools. You get a bunch of wusses. If you have never cut a finger or skinned your knee you really need to spend more time outside. Step out of the womb and take some risks.

Sure must be a slow news day……so, it’s time to find anything about the Cowboys or that q/ b in Santa Clara……

I wonder how much tape was needed for an “extremely, extremely minor” injury. Apparently enough that it was noticed and reported on.

Dodgeball out of school – so sad. We played a different form of the game called scaterball, where there were no boundaries and it was every kid for himself – the last kid standing won. When you were hit with the ball you kneeled down and became teammates with the other kneelers in order to get everyone hit with the ball so a new game cold start. Loved that game

Next we’ll hear that there will be no more Tom & Jerry on TV.

Cheats death? Come on, he nicked his finger………..please don’t stoop to awful headline hyperbole in a pathetic attempt to get clicks PFT. If he accidentally slits his wrist, ok, but a tiny cut on his finger is cheating death?

  18. mvp43 says: Oct 19, 2016 2:11 PM

Cheats death? what, was he chopping carrots on his neck with a ginsu?

Injury prone on and off the field

  22. bobthebillsfan says: Oct 19, 2016 2:37 PM

He has a couple of paper cut type cuts on his fingers. The extra bandage and tape was applied by Dr. Jerrah, on orders from GM Jerrah, who wants people to read and talk about the cowboys.

What Jerrah doesn’t realize is stupid publicity will do nothing to restore the “America’s team”moniker.

    No JPP reference?

  26. skins99 says: Oct 19, 2016 3:05 PM

Maybe they should baby him for another few weeks. Sit him for another 2 or 3 weeks just to make 100% sure that he is totally healthy. Can’t have him nicked up or anything with that 4-5 targets a game coming his way. He might have jarred his knee when he flinched in pain or something. You just can’t be too sure

  27. purpleguy says: Oct 19, 2016 3:22 PM

Hell, I’m fairly impressed he was making homemade soup.

we had Turkey shoot. We’re you guard your bowling pin from being knocked down by others throwing bean bags. the goal was to take over the corner. Sort of a mini war. I always dominated corners. Loved that game. Miss it bad..basically just play it on a basketball court

Just taking a stable at this but doesn’t he make enough money to have someone cook his meals?
