Getty ImagesRavens quarterback Joe Flacco played the whole way against the Giants in last Sunday’s loss without suffering any apparent injury and there was no word of one when he spoke to the media after the game, but something is keeping Flacco off the practice field on Wednesday.
The team announced that Flacco is not taking part in the team’s first practice ahead of this Sunday’s game against the Jets. No further information about what’s keeping Flacco from the field has been announced at this point, but coach John Harbaugh is set to address the media later in the day.
Flacco tore his ACL last season and spent the offseason rehabbing before returning in time to take part in training camp and start this year’s season opener. The six games he missed after that injury are the only ones he’s missed in his NFL career.
Ryan Mallett is the No. 2 quarterback for Baltimore. If Flacco’s issue keeps him out this week, it could be a battle of new starters as the Jets are expected to start Geno Smith in place of the struggling Ryan Fitzpatrick.
ouch
Mallett vs. Smith? Vegas cannot possibly set the over low enough.
Didn’t Flacco say something along the lines of ,’If something’s not done about this offensive line, my leg’s really going to start to hurt and I will have to sit out a game or so…”
Arm is sore from throwing all those Jump balls
Oh hell…
Jump Ball Giuseppe sprained his neck after repeatedly begging the refs for PI calls after each pass attempt.
Baltimore is that guy that owes you money, but that he stays away from you because he knows he owes you money and you are totally ok with it.
The Bungles will win the division by default. Big Ben is out, Flacco is limping, and the Browns are still the Browns.
I can not imagine that he would want to miss an opportunity to juice up his stats against that NYJ secondary. Every qb in the league has been getting fat against those cornerbacks!
Pig Pen out 4-6, now Flacco is dinged up. Time for the Browns to rise up from the ashes and take control!!
Hey, a guy can dream can’t he?
Not practicing.?
How hard is it to practice jump balls?
