Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is active for Sunday’s game vs. the Saints.
Charles had been listed as questionable due to swelling in his knee. He saw his first extended action of the season last week, and the Chiefs will understandably be cautious with Charles just a year removed from ACL surgery.
Charles carried nine times for 33 yards and a touchdown last week. He had two touches in his season debut Oct. 2 at Pittsburgh.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Chiefs will have “a limited package” for Charles. Spencer Ware will remain the team’s starting running back.
