The Titans opened Sunday’s game against the Packers with an unsuccessful onside kick and then saw left tackle Taylor Lewan ejected for making contact with an official, but just about everything else has gone their way in the first quarter.

Marcus Mariota hit tight end Anthony Fasano for a nine-yard touchdown pass with eight seconds to play in the first quarter and Ryan Succop’s extra point extended their lead to 21-0 over the reeling Packers. It was Mariota’s first touchdown pass of the day, but the second for the Titans as running back DeMarco Murray hit tight end Delanie Walker for his first career touchdown pass on the previous drive.

Murray opened the scoring with a 75-yard touchdown run on the first offensive play of the game for the Titans.

The Packers picked up one first down in the first quarter and saw Aaron Rodgers get sacked on third down to end consecutive drives that ensured they’d go without points in the first quarter for the first time this season. Their injury woes are continuing alongside their offensive ones as guard T.J. Lang, linebacker Jake Ryan and safety Morgan Burnett all left the game with injuries in the first 15 minutes.
