The Patriots started fast Sunday then let off the gas. The 49ers have hung around.

It’s 13-10, Patriots at halftime. The Patriots scored touchdowns on their first two possessions, but the 49ers have played better defensively since.

It’s raining in Santa Clara. The wet field hasn’t been a huge factor as of yet, but it rained harder later in the first half and if the rain continues it could be a factor in the second half. The Patriots ran for 85 yards in the first half against the league’s worst run defense. LeGarrette Blount had a long touchdown run called back by a holding call.

Tom Brady threw touchdown passes to James White and Julian Edelman. The 49ers got a touchdown pass from Colin Kaepernick to Vance McDonald and a field goal from Phil Dawson, the 400th of his career.
