The Eagles ended Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks with their top two running backs on the sideline because of injuries, but neither Darren Sproles nor Ryan Mathews look like they are going to be out for an extended period of time.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said on Monday that Sproles fractured a rib during the game, but, per Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer, that it is in a “safe” area that should allow Sproles to play with the injury. Pederson added that Mathews is considered day-to-day as a result of his knee injury.

Wendell Smallwood and Kenjon Barner served as the running backs in the second half of the 26-15 loss.

Right tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai also left with a knee injury and is set to miss some time with Pederson describing him as “week-to-week.” Allen Barbre will take over for him while Stefan Wisniewski moves into the starting lineup at Barbre’s usual left guard spot.
