Defensive tackle Brandon Mebane became the 15th member of the San Diego Chargers injured reserve list on Tuesday.

Mebane suffered a torn biceps in last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. He joins Keenan Allen, Sean Lissemore, Branden Oliver, Manti Te’o, Jason Verrett and Danny Woodhead as key members of the team out for the year.

Mebane had 21 tackles, a sack and an interception in his first year with the Chargers.

To fill his spot on the roster, the Chargers promoted cornerback Trovon Reed from their practice squad.

Reed has bounced around to four different rosters since entering the league as an undrafted free agent from Auburn in 2015. He’s spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins and Chargers. It’s his first stint on an active roster.
