Buccaneers kicker Roberto Aguayo missed a 48-yard field goal, and poor clock management by the Bucs’ offense at the end of the half cost Aguayop a shot at another from a similar distance.

But the Bucs continue to play really good defense, and they still lead the Seahawks, 14-5, late in the third quarter.

The Bucs scored on their first two drives, both on Jameis Winston passes to Mike Evans. The first was an improvised 3-yarder Winston threw on the run. The second was a 23-yarder over Richard Sherman.

The Seahawks have a safety, a field goal and a whole bunch of awful possessions. With five minutes left in the third quarter, quarterback Russell Wilson is 5-of-14 passing for 33 yards. The Seahawks are 0-for-6 in trying to convert third downs, and the Bucs are dominating time of possession.

Bucs cornerback Alterraun Verner, playing two days after the death of his father, has an interception for the game’s only turnover. The Seahawks have punted six times.
