The Broncos offense has been underwhelming against the Patriots so far on Sunday and now their defense will be without a key part as they try to come back for a win.

Defensive end Derek Wolfe injured his neck late in the first half and the team announced during the third quarter that he will not return to the game. The Broncos are already playing without starting linebacker Brandon Marshall, who was ruled out on Friday due to a hamstring injury.

The Broncos defense has done a good job for much of the day and forced a punt on the first Patriots possession of the second half. Tom Brady hit Julian Edelman for a couple of third down conversions on the next drive, however, and Stephen Gostkowski’s second field goal of the game made it 13-3 with 5:28 left to go in the third quarter.
