The Rams have made yet another move to try to fix their offensive line from the inside out.

Via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, the Rams claimed center Austin Blythe off waivers from the Colts. They also signed tryout defensive back Dominique Hatfield and waived linebacker Adefolarin Orimolade.

Blythe, a 2016 seventh-round pick from Iowa, is yet another move to shore up the middle of the line.

They cut incumbent center Tim Barnes, tried to sign Bills restricted free agent Ryan Groy (but since they’re not the Patriots it didn’t work), and then signed veteran center John Sullivan.

That’s in addition to adding left tackle Andrew Whitworth in free agency, as the Rams are making a concerted effort to improve the protection for quarterback Jared Goff.

  1. Short of having a missing an appendage or committing a felony before training camp even starts, how can a 7th round pick be a failed choice?

  2. Blythe sucks …. Should of drafted Center Evan Boehm in 2016, that kid is a beast and is going to be a monster when he takes over in AZ…. The Rams once again will have a pathetic Offensive Line & when Whitworth starts to decline here in the next year or so and retires , the Rams will badly need a LT once again.

  3. A bad addition to a worst offensive line. Silent Stan continues his streak with this losing franchise. Whats worst the offensive line, a Goof at QB, or an owner who could care less about putting a quality product on the field?

  4. John Sullivan will play very well at center for LA. He was the backup in Washington last year, and played well in a reserve roll. His last year in Minn. he was banged up, but he’s healthy now. Blythe will be backup if he sticks.

  5. Does Kroenke ever say anything? Answer…NO because he’s building a monument to himself. He should get Kapernick. He’d be a good fit for the L-a-L-a-Land team.

  6. Ryan could play QB Goof for sure whether at the movies, on stage, or on the field… Scared look , happy feet, inaccurate, reach draft pick, etc.
