Shoulder injury could keep John Ross out of start of training camp

Bengals rookie receiver John Ross broke the 40-yard dash record at the Scouting Combine while dealing with a shoulder injury that required surgery after the Combine. That surgery may require Ross to miss the start of training camp.

According to Bengals.com, Ross won’t be on the field “until early August or so.” The Bengals’ first training camp practice is July 29.

Ross’s 4.22-second 40-yard dash has created a lot of excitement around him, but he was viewed as a first-round prospect even before the Combine, based on his performance on the field in college at Washington.

The Bengals, however, will have to wait just a little while longer before they see him at full go on the practice field.

Imagine that the Bengals first round pick will be hurt and the 2nd round pick will be in jail with Pacman

The Bengals are incapable of drafting first round players that aren’t already injured or soon will be.

Could be a real talent if he can just stay healthy…he even looked like he tweaked a knee/ankle the way he was walking after his 40 at the combine.

Hard to figure why this guy was drafted so high looking at his college production and size.

This is exactly why I was hoping my team didnt draft him. Everybody is drooling over 4.22 but his route tree is garbage and his cuts are awful. U add in he made of glass

Yes, make sure you put off surgery for the all important combine so you can have surgery later and miss something unimportant like TRAINING CAMP… smh
