Junior Galette: I’ll be better than I was

AP

While discussing linebacker Junior Galette recently, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said that Galette still has the “quick twitch” off the edge needed to be an effective pass rusher despite tearing his Achilles each of the last two years.

Galette is aiming to do more than return to the form he had while recording 22 sacks for the Saints over the 2013 and 2014 seasons, however. He’s 15 pounds lighter and feels that is setting him up for bigger things in his third attempt at making it to the regular season with the Redskins.

“I’ll be better than what I was,” Galette said, via ESPN.com. “I feel a lot lighter and more explosive. People don’t believe it, but I’m going to show you.”

As long as he’s healthy, it looks like Galette will get that opportunity. He’s been playing in the nickel package as a pass rusher during the offseason and that would seem to be the least of his duties if he makes good on his prediction about what’s to come in 2017.

No doubt… Nice to see that he has been whipping himself into shape.. and 15 pounds lighter? I am sure he’ll need to be tightening his belt now.

Unfortunately, action speaks louder than words. This is his last chance – and he’s luck to have one. Lots of pressure.

If he was only half as good as he tells everybody in the media he is …he would be a sure fire HOF.
All the trash talk he spouts off about the other NFC East teams not being able to Handle his pass rushing skills.
He has more games on IR heathen active

For some reason I believe him. He will show everyone how much better he is and then one sprint later he will fall apart again. Can’t believe they’re giving him another shot but then again this is Snyder’s team we are talking about and he loves to collect crap players. Never change Snyder, never change!

Better that his pants fall off based on losing weight.

Instead of the normal, take my belt off to beat women type of thing.

Gallette is trash. Plain and simple. Just shows NFL teams don’t care what you’ve done. If you can play, do it.

Since he has been on the IR since he got suspended… does he still have to serve 2 games? Or, does the NFL not care since TMZ didn’t supply them with the story?
