Gronk has the perfect gift idea for Tom Brady

What do you get for a guy who has everything? More of what he wants the most.

Asked by reporters regarding his plans for quarterback Tom Brady’s 40th birthday on Thursday, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski didn’t miss a beat.

“I get him touchdowns,” Gronkowski said. “You’ve got to catch the ball. That’s all he wants — his receivers, tight ends, running backs to catch the ball. So that’s probably what he wants tomorrow.”

Gronk expressed disbelief that his quarterback is spending his last day in his 30s.

“There’s nowhere else he wants to spend it besides the football field. But it’s just unbelievable how he’s turning 40 and just where he’s at right now is just unreal,” Gronkowski said.

Yes it is, and it remains to be seen how long he’ll continue to play at a high level, or to play at all — for the Patriots or someone else.

  1. Not a Pats fan but I recognize greatness when I see it. People need to enjoy this quarterback, this coach, and this team now while they can, because it can’t last forever.

Of course, I’m hoping the Bucs become the next dynasty after the Pats finally come back to Earth.

  2. I’m a Giants fan, and I wish that Brady gets one more shot at my GMen in the SuperBowl. Even GOATs need redemption for something.

  3. Don’t worry about how long it lasts. Just enjoy the best football player of all time. Soon he won’t be able to do it anymore, so what? It’s all gravy now anyway. Everybody has to be a genius by predicting how long he can do it, no one knows, we’ll see, it’s been unbelievably great.

  4. Happy birthday, GOAT.

May you enjoy another decade on the field, fire in your belly, chip on your shoulder, doing what you love the most.

  5. This guy acts how I’d expect someone getting a 20 mil salary, or even one million. Every single thing he does is meant to make him a better athlete and better at his job. Even Edelman said their boys vacation was like fat camp because they were working every day and had so much to do.

He’s redefining athletes. Can you imagine someone who follows his program from the beginning?

  6. “What do you get for a guy who has everything? ”

Normally when you hear that it reflects a degree of hyperbole but in this case the guy in question really does have everything.
It has to be pretty damn good to be Tom Brady.

And this is from a former hater until Judge Berman came along and opened my eyes, (and those transcripts should have opened everyone’s)!

  8. I’m hoping the Bucs become the next dynasty after the Pats finally come back to Earth

I just can’t see it ever happening. The Patriots got the trifecta “lightening in a bottle”.

Owner, coach, quarterback. All in their respective primes. It will probably never be duplicated.
