Marquette King draws unsportsmanlike conduct penalty

Raiders punter Marquette King can expect a fine for taunting this week.

King attempted a fake punt on fourth-and-11 on his own 33 late in the third quarter. After he was tackled for a 3-yard loss, King threw the football into the back of Broncos special teamer Andy Janovich.

Officials flagged King, penalizing the Raiders 15 yards.

Earlier in the game — on the final play of the first quarter — King celebrated a 49-yard punt to the Denver 5 by pretending to ride a horse.

If this guy was white, would he still be a “clown”?

Well okay since we will make this a race thing, let’s. How many white punters are there and have there been? How many of them dance and get penalized for taunting?

  4. Never quite heard of a punter engaging in that sort of antics in 50+ years of watching NFL games.

Chew on this Donkeys: you barely beat the Raidersr even though Carr got hurt. You can’t even put up more than 16 points or 200 yards passing at home against a secondary that made Cousins look like an All-Pro last week. Wait til they visit the Black Hols with your noodle armed QB…

  6. As long as you are popping off. Ever see a white guy showboat and drop the ball before he crosses the goal line?

How many first downs did the Raiders get with Carr playing? With the exception of one blown coverage he’s done zero against the Broncos in his career. The Raiders won their game last year because Denver couldn’t stop the run not because Carr did anything of note. Denver can stop the run this year, so they’ll once again sweep the Raiders.

  9. The guy is a punter, not even a real player imo. He’s a typical millennial self promoter who has to be even more obnoxious due to the insignificance of his position. Punters should be seen and not heard and never, under any circumstances draw a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that may hurt your team. I agree 100% with the above poster, this guy is bleeping clown shoes.

  10. Guy was doing the same act last time I watched him in the playoffs. Punters getting 15 yard unsportsmanlike, is this for real? Nice fake too. Overrated and worse, incredibly selfish player. Has anyone ever said that about a punter in the history of football??

  11. If my punter was costing my team 15 yard penalties, he’d be gone…there might not be another position more easily replaceable.
