Tom Brady is the AFC’s offensive player of the month, again

The NFC’s offensive player of the month was a bit of a surprise. The AFC’s wasn’t.

For the 10th time in his career, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has won an AFC offensive player of the month award. It’s an all-time record; Peyton Manning is No. 2 with eight such honors.

Brady last won the award in October 2016, his first month back from a four-game Deflategate suspension.

The 40-year-old franchise quarterback completed 73 of 99 passes for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns in three November victories.

  2. Since the World Champion Patriots love dishing out beatings to all inferior teams and their inferior fans just as they deserve… can you imagine what they’d do to them if they really did cheat?

Brady would throw for 800 yards a game and the Patriots would win every game 100-0! WOW! I’d LOVE to see that! 🙂

  3. Just say it…
Tom Brady is the offensive player of the century. We are counting the days until he retires and lets the AFCE open to the rest of us, and NE resumes their place back to the bottom..
    Bills fan.

    Meh…

Check out his numbers against the Saints, Panthers, and Texans from earlier in the year if him lighting up the Broncos, Raiders, and Dolphins doesn’t impress you or you know his career numbers.

Where are all the Peyton fans? Lol. The Brady vs Peyton debate is long gone.

LOL, I forgot that those debates were ever even a thing. Those debates look pretty silly now.

How about not waiting, and try to get better right now?

I thought the Bills might have started to turn things around, until their coach went Bill O’Brien with the quarterbacks.

They looked pretty silly then too, at least to people with a brain

  9. the week, the month, the season, the decade, the GOAT. and thanks to the Bills fan who tells the truth. if bills dominate when B and B are gone, good for them, it’s their turn.

  10. All of these awards are utterly meaningless.

Case in point last year’s Coach of the Year: Jason Garrett.

The Bills had their run to 4 SBs on a row. And so have the Dolphins in the 70s. I have to think the Jets are due.

What possibly makes you think the Pats won’t find another competent QB and keep rolling? Belichick has made it clear to insiders that he wants to win a SB without Brady. Just cause Tom retires doesn’t mean Bill will.

Keep dreaming though, its nice to have dreams.

Having watched football for nearly 60 years makes me know that with the departure of Brady Belichick will not be as successful as he is with Brady. Smugly wishing it to happen will not make it happen. Brady has made Belichek ……because he is making the plays on the field at a level rarely seen. There is no QB store for you to just go and pick out a Tom Brady….as much as you homers would like to think…ain’t going to happen.

  14. People seem to forget that the Pats have been good since Kraft bought the team. They went to the a SBowl in 96, and if Parcells hadn’t bailed on that talent laden team because he couldn’t see eye to eye with Kraft, who knows what woulda happened. Then they hired PCarroll, who wasn’t ready and out of place on the east coast. But, they were still good. Haters can wish all they want, but this team will contend after Brady and Belichick are gone. As long as the Krafts own the team.

If Bill Bilichick is the best coach in the NFL , then who is second best ?
    ———————–

Probably Pete Carroll. It’s a precipitous drop from best to second, though.

The answer, I’d say, is Reid, or Tomlin:-
Purely in terms of win % of active HCs, after Belichick’s .678, it’s actually Tomlin (.655), followed by McCarthy (.639), then Arians (.620), all ahead of Andy Reid (.600), and then Payton, Zimmer, Carroll. However, given how hard it is to be successful over a long time, I’d put Andy Reid (19yrs) in 2nd place (Belichick 23yrs). And after Belichick’s 26 playoff wins (which is the best all-time), Reid also (perhaps surprisingly to some) has the 2nd-most among active HCs with 11. But I’m sure some would put Tomlin 2nd based on an SB win.

I’m not sure about the no-drool part but you are making a valid point: there are no guarantees. There are no great QBs waiting in the wings and there is certainly no guarantee that Belichick will be there after Brady retires.

I’ve been a Pats fan since 1970 and have lived through plenty of disappointment – Pats fans should have no allusion to the future w/o B&B.

Obviously, you have to live in the past.

Did you hear about the Super Bowl a few months ago?
If you turned it off, you can still purchase the DVD
