Tom Brady has 54-10 record all time in month of December

The Patriots are good all year, every year since Tom Brady became their quarterback. But they are really good in the month of December.

No. 12 has a 54-10 record all time in the 12th month of the year.

“It’s so important [to finish off the regular season strong],” Brady said Friday, via quotes distributed by the team. “I think coach [Bill] Belichick said it best the other day. He said whether you’re 5-5 at this point or 10-0, it really depends on what we do going forward because I was here in 2001 when we were 5-5 and we ended up not losing a game after that. A few years ago we were 10-0 and the season didn’t end very well. I think so much of your season is dependent on how we’re going to do at this point moving forward. We put ourselves in decent position, but we’re going to have to go capitalize.”

It is Brady’s best month. He has won more games in December, with a better winning percentage than any other month. In his 64 career December starts, the star quarterback has completed 62.6 percent of his passes for 15,556 yards with 108 touchdowns and 40 interceptions.

Only Roger Staubach has a better winning percentage in December in NFL history, with the Cowboys’ Hall of Fame quarterback going 17-3 (.850) in his career in the month.

The Patriots won all four of their December games last year. Their last December loss was Dec. 27, 2015, when the Jets beat them 26-20.

  1. .
December marks a change of season into winter football. The Patriots have traditionally been a good bad weather team.

Matt Cassell too went 4-0 in December, 2008 for the Patriots. What a great system.

He also went 7-5 before that. So great huh. We’ll see you salty haters praise the system after Brady is gone.

  3. Brady is also something like 32-4 vs the Bills, that’s right Brady has 2 full seasons of victories against Buffalo

  4. Matt Cassell was awesome in the playoffs that year with a previously undefeated team run by Brady.

    Oh, wait…

Oops. The magic system didn’t help there now did it?

    Darn system…

Steve Young is in the HOF after Joe Montana and each had the same offensive coordinator the entire time, unlike Brady, the latter having 3 different coordinators.

    What a great system.

Just think your one win against them a couple of Decembers ago was when BB rested all the starters, too.

    lol

Try 26-3, but who is counting right LOL. That is just plain nuts!! Hope somehow we can pull the upset, but the Patriots are just so good. Good luck Sunday!

Too bad Belichick is only 18-19 as Pats HC when Brady doesn’t start. And Cassel’s best year was with the Chiefs…too bad.

  9. Good luck to you too billswillnevermove

Ok ok I was off by a few. If he manages to play another 3 years he could still get to 32

A lot of thise Bills teams were pretty good too, just never seemed to get the breaks their way

Staubach was much better and played when defenses could actually play, unlike the system QB playing a video game.

    ======================================

Too bad he only had 2 titles in an era with fewer franchises and no free agency and he played with 11 NFL Hall of Famers. He is an all time great, but if Brady woke up tomorrow with Staubach’s NFL career he would be inconsolable.

YOU KEEP THINKING THAT SON…it’ll make you feel better.

Well, he was 11-5 with Cassel and if he kept JimmyG, the Pats would do no worse than 11-5 every year.

BB benched Bledsoe after 2000 and the early 2001, for a reason.

Have a nice day, little teeniebopper!

Hey skippy, you might want to check out a new screen name…

    respect your country?!

    That’s sarcasm, right?

  14. What jumps out here is that Staubach’s career was so short. Brady has played more than three times as many games. Were Brady to have not been injured, and were the Pats to go 4-0 in December this year as well as in 2008 (not out of the question), their average would be about the same. It’s a lot harder to establish that kind of winning percentage when you play an extended number of years, with completely different rosters. Brady’s longevity and record stand alone.

You do realize that 32-4 or 26-3, the percentage is still about the same, right???

What am I saying???? I’m talking to a BILL’S fan, lol.

Yeah but 48 of them were against the Jets, the Bills and the Dolphins.

An AFC BEAST team has made 8 straight AFC Championshio games in a row and 10 of 11. No other division in football compares to that.

Seems like the AFC BEAST isn’t as weak as you think huh?

    🙂
