PFTV looks at whether the Saints can run the table

The New Orleans Saints are 9-0.  With seven games to play, they face the Bucs twice, the Patriots, Redskins, Falcons, Cowboys, and Panthers.

So will the Saints finish the job, only two years after New England did it?

PFTV ponders that question.

PFTV takes a look at Westbrook's situation

OK, so we probably should have posted this one before news emerged regarding the results of Eagles running back Brian Westbrook's visit to Pittsburgh.

Still, the opinions and the discussion and whatever in the hell else we said for two minutes and change is something by which we still stand.

So click, watch, comment, repeat.

PFTV looks at the Jauron firing

The news of Dick Jauron's firing broke not long before yours truly made the long and arduous journey to the studios of WDTV (all 1.2 miles of it) for the old-school PFTV segments with Joe Brocato, who contrary to popular opinion has not been replaced by Rosenthal.

Here's the first of the five new segments, regarding the termination of Coach Jauron and whatever else we talked about but that I can't currently remember.

Enjoy.

PFTV's game of the week, part two

Earlier in the week, we offered up an initial PFTV game of the week for Week Ten.

But there are two potentially great games this weekend.  So we decided to have a second game of the week.

It also kept us from having to come up with another topic for the week.

So here it is.

PFTV looks at Holmgren in Cleveland

As rumors swirl that the Browns are actively interviewing candidates to come in and salvage a sunken ship, the name still at the top of the list is former Packers and Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren.

So will Holmgren do it?

PFTV explores.

PFTV looks at the coming rush to the 2010 draft

As the deadline for entering the 2010 draft approaches, the big question is whether a flood of underclassmen will jump into the mix now, in order to avoid a work stoppage or an NBA-style rookie wage scale in 2011.

So will it happen?

PFTV explores whether the guy in the still frame below will have to thump a bunch of younger players over the head with a large book containing many chapters and verses.

PFTV looks at Larry Johnson's next step

This year, former Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has made a lot more noise via the events resulting in his exile from Kansas City than for his performances on the field.

But, surely, he'd like to change that soon, via his next team.

So where is this headed?  PFTV explores.

PFTV's Week Ten game of the week, part one

Sure, there are a couple of stinkers on the Week Ten slate of games.

But there are a couple of potential classics, too.

The most obvious?  Patriots at Colts, on Sunday night.  (On NBC.)

With full recognition that we won't add much to what others already have said but with full appreciation that some of you are so geeked up for this one that you'll soak up anything anyone has to say about it, here's PFTV's take.

PFTV ponders Tom Cable, again

We thought that the off-field issues relating to Raiders coach Tom Cable were concluded with the decision not to prosecute him on charges of fracturing the face of defensive assistant Randy Hanson.

But with last weekend's ESPN report featuring a former Cable wife and a former Cable girlfriend who claim that he committed violence against them, the problem isn't going away.

PFTV tackled recently the complex issues that the NFL and the Raiders now face.

PFTV's Week Nine game of the week

After our last two PFTV games of the week featured contests involving the Vikings, one of you smartasses our valued readers predicted that our Week Nine game of the week would be "Vikings vs. Bye."

Real cute.  (It actually came in second.)

This week's top game occurs in Denver, when the Steelers face the Broncos.  And not just because Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark could be risking his life by playing.

PFTV looks the Favre's final revenge

Now that Brett Favre finally has made good on his desire (as much as he tried to downplay it) to stick it to the Packers, let's take one last look at the question of whether the Packers screwed up by not letting Favre come back in 2008.

It's the last we'll say on the matter.

Until, that is, the Vikings and Packers meet again in the playoffs.

PFTV looks at the coming quarterback carousel

As the season hits the midpoint, the bad teams are now considering whether to make changes at quarterback.

And if things don't improve soon for the crappy teams, the coaches charged with figuring out what to do at quarterback could soon be on the wrong end of a decision regarding whether a change will be made at the job they occupy.

PFTV looks considers the dilemma that several possible soon-to-be-former coaches are facing regarding their possible soon-to-be-former quarterbacks.

PFTV looks at the the L.A. situation

With so much talk about the NFL possibly moving a team to London, let's not forget about the reality that there's a fairly large market in our homeland that also currently has no franchise.

And hasn't had one (or two) since 1994.

So what's the situation with L.A.?  PFTV explores.

PFTV closes the 2009 book on British football

With the NFL continuing its flirtation with London, many of you have asked where this is all heading.

So since it's easier to talk than it is to type, we added the topic to this week's list of PFTV segments.

Bottom line?  Get ready to eventually root for (or against) the English Muffins.

PFTV's Week Eight game of the week

Many have gotten a little numb to the whole "Brett Favre playing the Packers" thing after the Monday might matchup at the Metrodome from earlier in the month.

But that would be a mistake.

This one is The One.  Favre returns to Lambeau.  The Prodigal Son returns home, and he tries to steal the fatted calf.

For more, here's some PFTV.  (Hurry up and watch it before the boss parks his new used Escalade diagonally in the visitors lot.)

PFTV ponders the last team to lose a game

In this season of anti-parity, the three winless teams are matched by a trio of undefeated franchises.

So of the teams that have yet to lose, who'll make it the longest?

Reggie Bush thinks the Saints can make it all the way to January without a loss -- here's the official PFTV take, which unfortunately was taped before Bush jinxed his team.

PFTV ponders Jim Zorn's situation

Redskins executive V.P. of football operations Vinny Cerrato said Friday that coach Jim Zorn will finish out the season.

Peter King suggested during halftime of Saturday's Boston College at Notre Dame game that maybe Zorn isn't safe.

So let's take another look at Zorn's situation, PFTV style.

This year, few teams have collapsed as quickly as the Jets.

And few hot players have cooled off faster than Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.

PFTV looks at the Titans' troubles

The fall has been stunning.  From 13-2 as of December to 0-8.

So what's up with the Tennessee Titans?  Since everyone else is pondering the issue, we figured we should take a crack at it, too.

So here we go.
