REDSKINS PUT DOUGHTY ON IR, CUT HAMILTON

The Redskins are down two safeties after putting one on injured reserve and releasing another.
Safety Reed Doughty, who played in four games this year and started three, has been placed on IR with a back injury.  Safety Justin Hamilton, who has played in two games  and started none, has been released.
Hamilton said he expected to get cut.
“It was something I could see coming, probably not today but before the end of the season because I was basically stealing paychecks,” Hamilton said, per the Washington Times. “I didn’t do anything. I put on a sweatsuit on gamedays.”The Redskins currently have three healthy safeties: LaRon Landry, Chris Horton and Kareem Moore.

  1. That comment by Justin Hamilton is priceless. Stealing paychecks! Hahahahaha. At least he can admit it… I still can’t.

  2. There’s a lot of guys stealing paychecks in professional sports…
BTW, If he continues with his strong play, Chris Horton might be the DROY at seasons end…
Wasnt he one of the last guys drafted this year? Anyone?
