JACOBS SAYS HE’LL PLAY ON SUNDAY

On Friday, Giants running back Brandon Jacobs told Michael Kay of ESPN 1050 in New York that Jacobs will be ready to play on Sunday night, when the Giants host the Panthers with the top seed in the NFC playoff field on the line. Jacobs is listed as questionable with a knee injury, and he missed last week’s game against the Cowboys. “I feel like I’m good to go,” Jacobs told Kay, via Newsday. “I feel good. Knee didn’t give me any problems. I feel comfortable out there. I got up to full speed a couple times in practice. I think I’m ready to go.” We also hear that Jacobs made his point in a more colorful way, which didn’t makes its way to the pages of Newsday. As to whether he’ll play, Jacobs said, “Does a bear take a dump in the woods, and does he wipe his butt with a white rabbit?’' In unrelated news, I just asked a Brandon Jacobs jersey to my Christmas list.
