PACMAN GETS INTO A PROS VS. JOES FIGHT

Adam “Pacman” Jones continues to find new and innovative ways to harm his chances of ever playing in the NFL again.
A free agent after being cut by the Cowboys, Jones is participating in Spike TV’s latest incarnation of Pros vs. Joes, a contrived competition between has-been and never-were professional athletes.
According to Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times, who attended one of the sessions, Pacman and one of the “Joes” got into a fight not long after said “Joe” made like Sheldon Brown on Reggie Bush during a game of three-on-three football in full pads.
The hit came from Dan Adams, a former linebacker at Holy Cross who once made 21 tackles in a single game.  Pacman had been calling Adams “Waterboy,” and Adams apparently imagined that Pacman had called him “needled–k.”
A few minutes after the hit, the two started punching each other, and they had to be separated.  (I have an image in my mind of co-host Jay Glazer clinging to someone’s leg, a la Jeff Van Gundy.)
“He hit me 10 yards out of bounds, kind of a cheap shot,” Adams said.  “I couldn’t sit there and not retaliate.  You’ve got to have some pride and dignity.”
Pride and dignity?  That would be a first for Pacman.

  1. Wow, even when he’s not getting arrested, it’s ALWAYS something every couple months. Hopefully there will never be another like him, even though it’s kinda funny.

  2. wow at first I wanted to say that this guy doesn’t even deserve to be commented on but this is actually a story.
this is actually relevant. lol. unbelievable.
here’s the million dollar question…Who played the role of ”Pro” and who played the role of ”Joe?”

  3. Can we see a picture of pacman in his non photographable suit with the caption “pride and dignity?”

  4. BFD…It’s a reality TV show. The people involve are supposed to do shit like this to increase viewers.

  5. Pac Man would fit perfectly with Raiders, he loves to start fights, thats something the raiders have missed..pls. Al Bring Pacman, so he can fight against R.Williams when Raiders go to Dallas in 09.
he is trouble, but he can play CB.. atleast against 3rd WRs where is were we should put him.. so then, that means a fight against Crayton. While T.O. takes on Newman..

  6. Hey, now that he’s no longer an employee of the NFL maybe he could actually wrestle. Last time he tried it he was only allowed to stand in the ring and act tough, right? Time to try your hand at that, Pacman.

  7. Apparently, the PacMan wasn’t qualified to flip burgers at McDonalds.
Hopefully, Michael “The Dog Killer” Vick will be.

  8. I drive by Holy Cross Stadium every day on my way to work. Glad to know someone with Worcester roots is contributing to the demise of Pacman Jones…

  9. His excuse for getting in the fight was his pride and dignity.
    – Does he remember calling a grown man, Waterboy?
    – Does he ever have moments of reflection?
    – Does he understands the world doesn’t revolve around him?

  10. I wonder what the odds are of the ‘Joe’ somehow getting a GSW in the next week or so?

  11. I just have to say… I love this guy!!!! With the economy in the sh-tter this guy brightens my day. he’s like gangsta ray of sunshine.
I look forward to future stories like this.
I will say this though once bullets start flying and bodies start hitting the floor it stops being funny. as much as this guy is entertaining its scary to think that he is one of the most dangerous people to play in the league. And now that he has lost his 7 figure 24/7 he has to find ways to kill time and he’s proven that he’s not above putting hits on people. Very, Very scary to know this guy is on the streets and not behind bars.

  12. Turn down the smarm Flor, Pro’s Vs. Joes has better than you would expect ex-athletes. Roy Jones Jr. Slash, Will Clark, Mark Aguire, Dave Winfield just to name a few. These don’t sound like never were pro athletes. I’m forgetting some other good ones too. You do not know what you are talking about in this case.

    My thoughts exactly VegasChris

Yeah, or else he wouldn’t be able to show his face in the scrip clubs that he likeded so much…

  15. First, that guy is my hero. Second, Terrance Newman is HORRIBLE. Third, Reggie Bush is terrible. Fourth, Pacman is going to attempt to kill that guy. Seriously.

  16. “The hit came from Dan Adams, a former linebacker”
““He hit me 10 yards out of bounds, kind of a cheap shot,” Adams said”
OK………which one is Adams and which one is pacman?
This sounds like Adams hit himself 10 yds out of bounds and started a fight with himself because he has pride etc. etc.

  17. I find it odd that, unlike the endless Pat White updates, in none of these Pacman articles does Florio ever mention what school he went to.

  18. “Al Bring Pacman, so he can fight against R.Williams when Raiders go to Dallas in 09.”
Uh this just in…R.Willams has BEEN cut by the Cowboys…you can take your foot out of your mouth now.
PS WTF with the “You are posting too fast” B.S.? this is my first post in weeks!

Get with the program, Spicoli. Those guys are the has-beens (otherwise known as the Pros). The “Joes” are the never-weres. They’re guys you’ve never heard of. The type of guys who play rec ball at the Y a little too hard and care about it a little too much. Watch the show and you’ll get it.

  20. Garret: are YOU retarded? Roy E Williams the WIDE RECEIVER was definitely NOT cut by the Cowboys.

  21. punkman hit the joe way out of bounds.
and maybe he will order or carry out a hit next week.
jail maybe… or shot while resisting or fleeing arrest…

  22. sorry my error, yes the joe nailed punkman after the trash talk.
shoulda done it in bounds, but wth…

  23. I spent 3 years with Pac at West Virginia. You guys who hate Pac have no clue who he is. All you hear is the negative things he does, you don’t know him. Don’t write dumb shit unless you know what you are talking about.
