San Francisco 49ers free agent offensive tackle Damane Duckett isn’t likely to return for next season, according to Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat.
A restricted free agent, Duckett wasn’t extended a qualifying offer from 49ers management prior to the free agent signing period, which makes him an unrestricted free agent.
Duckett spent last season on injured reserve due to knee cartilage problems.
According to his agent, Duckett is healthy again.  Duckett has played on the defensive line in the past, but is concentrating on offensive tackle these days.
In five NFL seasons, the former East Carolina player has played for the 49ers, New York Giants, and Carolina Panthers.  He has played in 20 games with one start.

  1. Hey maybe you can mention this to Florio,
The Best team that makes sense for Terrell Owens is the Chicago
    Bears. Because:
-Rosenhaus already has clients in briggs, harris, hester
-T.O. loves big markets and Chicago will embrace him
-The last big time Wideout they had was willie gault
-chicago is always lacking playmakers on offense
-t.o. could easily make kyle orton into a probowler, because
orton’s numbers would double up with hester and t.o.
-lovie smith is a calm coach that would be able to get
through to owens and help him become a stable force in the
    locker room.
-lovie was able to get production outta guys like tank and
ced, so he definitely can get production from a guy like t.o.
who has double the work ethic of those guys combined.

  2. “Production out of guys like Ced…”
Really? You call that production. He sucked.
That being said. I have no problems having that cancer destroy the Bears locker room. Please sign him.

  3. Hey, T.O. to Chicago because:
    – He sucks
    – Bears suck
    – He’s even more over-the-hill than Urlacher
    – He isn’t a very reliable or productive WR
    – Chicago will embrace an unproductive, unreliable WR

  4. hell i thought the bears could be a spot for she-ho. not as prominent as the asylum by the bay but… they probly think they are a player or 2 from really being in the mix.
they seem to have a “good” locker room. orton makes good decisions.
i think lovie wouldnt tolerate all the crap.
hitch is their ol may have peaked a long time ago so with a possible qb injury-carousel… just add fuse…
