Raji On The Move

Massive Boston College defensive tackle B.J. Raji, one of the top defensive linemen in the draft and a projected high first-round draft pick, has several upcoming visits, according to a league source.
The New Jersey native will visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and San Francisco 49ers prior to a local visit with the New York Jets.  He has a subsequent visit with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 6’2″, 337-pound defensive tackle ran the 40-yard dash in 5.12 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine, also registering a 32-inch vertical leap and bench pressing 225 pounds 33 times.
Raji missed the entire 2007 season due to academic reasons, but had a banner season last year.

  1. Man would I love to see this guy in a Bucs uniform… but with pick 19 and no obvious senario of trading up, It’s probably not going to happen…. so they could at least let him where a jersey during his visit… so the fans can see what could have been.

  2. Ah yes, BJ Raji, he’s been in the league for a while. You might remember him when his name used to be Dwayne Robertson….

  3. Unless the Jets or the Bucs trade way up, not a chance he’s going to be available. Even available for SF and DEN is a longshot. Too many teams in the top ten need a franchise NT.

  4. Would be nice to see him paired along side Sedrick Ellis on the D line but I don’t see the Saints trading up to get him. Hopefully, CB Malcolm Jenkins from Ohio St. is still on the board when we pick.

  5. Glenn Dorsey….bust??????? Isn’t it a little early to determin that now??? Nt’s rarely dominate as rookie/softmores . Usually take a couple years at LEAST! Plus SF needs a O lineman first and the D line preferably DE, or WR.
