Maualuga Visiting Chiefs Tomorrow

In what could be a sign that the Chiefs are preparing for a possible trade down from the No. 3 overall pick, they’ll be hosting linebacker Rey Maualuga on Thursday, a league source tells us.
Maualuga is regarded as one of the top prospects at inside linebacker, but it would be a major surprise if he were a top five (or even a top ten) selection.
Maualuga’s other visits include trips to see the Browns, Dolphins, Chargers, Titans, Falcons, Saints, 49ers, and Rams.

  1. Dear KC
    Please trade down…… puh-leeeeeeeeeeeeeease.
Browns fan who wants Aaron Curry

  2. KC is in pretty strong position to trade out of that spot. It certainly appears that the best player in this years draft will be selected at 3, and while it would be great for KC to get Curry they have a lot of holes. You might look at Buffalo as a candidate to trade up to the spot. This would give a scenario where instead of Curry KC gets 3 players 2 of which are locks to start and another contributor/possible starter. You could see something like Rey Maualuga, Clint Sintim and Cedric Peerman or a good quality interior lineman come on board. Curry is a great prospect, but he is one man.

  3. Rey Rey would be nice in tennessee with keith bullock and david thorton and we need a middle linebacker if he falls to us we should draft him.
