Nicks Remains In Demand As Draft Approaches

It remains unclear whether North Carolina receiver Hakeem Nicks’ roller-coaster ride on the bathroom scale will keep him from being selected in round one.
It’s definitely not keeping teams from checking him out.
Monday, Nicks visited with the Panthers.  Tuesday, he went to St. Louis for a meeting with the Rams.
Wednesday, he’ll be in Philly to visit with the Eagles.
Thursday, he heads to Tennessee to check out the Titans.
And Friday he’ll work out for both the Ravens and the Colts.  Both teams will attend the session, during which Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco will throw the passes.

  1. I see the opposite of last year happening. Maclin, then Crabtree, both early. Then Nicks late 1st round. Heyward-Bey and Harvin in the 2nd round.

  2. Nicks has the potential to be a solid player down the line, but I see him struggling his rookie year to adjust to the NFL. I wouldn’t use a first round pick on him. His speed could be a problem. Nicks is a gamble if he’s a first rounder. Hopefully, he can prove me wrong and go on to be a solid WR

  4. Hakeem Nicks will be the best receiver to come out of this year’s draft. That may slightly be a knock on the receiving class, but I don’t see anyone that has his all around skill set. The guy can just play.

  5. The best receiver in this year’s draft is Michael Crabtree. Last year, he broke 298 tackles last year on 97 catches
The second best receiver is Darrious Heyward-Bey who is physical enough to get separation from NFL DB’s and also clocked the best 40 time at the combine.
Percy Harvin, Jeremy Maclin and Hakeem Nicks are far behind.

  6. All these looks are comiong because his stock has fallen. Teams are seeing some second round value from him. Carolina dosen’t have a first round and they brought him in to kick the tires.

  7. If he is there at 26 Nicks will not get past the Ravens, unless someone else unexpectedly drops, like Maualuga or Vontae Davis.
The Ravens will pass on DHB if he’s there at 26, and should.

  8. Why hasn’t Taco Bill done a spoof of your annoying weight loss ads with this guy?
