Rosenhaus Keeps Tweeting, Believes Anquan Will Be Traded

So I asked an agent on Thursday what the reaction in the agenting community has been to the decision of Drew Rosenhaus to use Twitter as a tool for marketing his clients.
The problem, as explained by the agent who shall remain nameless (but only because he was never given a name), is that with nearly 100 clients, Rosenhaus will face complaints from the players he fails to mention from time to time on Twitter.  And/or their wives.
“He said the other day he had lunch with Sinorice Moss,” the agent without a name said.  “So now one of his other slapd–k clients is gonna be thinking, ‘Hey, when’s he gonna have lunch with me?'”
Given the unparalled Rosenhaus work ethic (love him or loathe him, there’s no denying that the guy busts his ass), we assume that he’ll find a way to mention all of his clients at some point.  And to eat food with them on a rotating basis.
Rosenhaus tweeted about six more of his clients just this morning.  For the Twitter averse, here’s what he said:
1.   “I still believe [Cardinals receiver] Anquan [Boldin] will be traded before training camp.  I hope to work together with the Cardinals to resolve this situation by then.”
2.  “[Cowboys running back] Marion Barber’s toe is now completely healed and he is primed to have an outstanding season.  He’s ready to resume full activity healthwise.”
3.   “OG Jacob Bell is feeling much better in his 2nd season with the Rams.  He’s gained 20 pounds of muscle and looking forward to a great year.”
4.  “Jacob’s teammate Randy McMichael has returned to full workouts on his ankle and is now 100% healthy.  Look for Randy to have a big yr in 09.”
5.  “[Bengals receiver] Chad Ocho Cinco has been working overtime this offseason with his training.  He is in the best shape of his career & very motivated.”
6.  “[49ers running back] Frank Gore’s late season ankle injury is now completely healed and is working hard this off season to get back to the Pro Bowl.”
UPDATE:  Maybe Drew has gotten a call from Mrs. Graham . . . “I’m also happy to report that [Bucs running back] Earnest Graham’s ankle is doing great and he has been able to work out at full speed.  He is looking good.”
SECOND UPDATE:  The prior version of the “Update” characterized Earnest Graham as unemployed.  He isn’t; I was thinking of Reuben Droughns.
THIRD UPDATE:  Ring . . . ring . . . Hi, Mrs. Wilford:  “Ernest Wilford is excited about this season — he has been in the Dolphins workout program and is ready to bounce back strong this year.”
FOURTH UPDATE:  “Starting ILB Stephen Tullock is entering the last year of his contract and I have discussed a contract extension with the Titans.”
FIFTH UPDATE:  “Devin Thomas recently had laser eye surgery and it has helped him significantly.  The Redskins have been very pleased with his recent work.”
SIXTH UPDATE:  “Cornelius Ingram did very well in the Eagles mini camp and we are confident that the health of his knee is not an issue going forward.”
SEVENTH UPDATE:  “We’ve had success in dealing with the Redskins and I’m hopeful we can negotiate an extension for OLB Rocky McIntosh in the near future.”
EIGHTH UPDATE:  “We have also expressed an interest to the Steelers in extending Justin Hartwig’s contract who is entering the last year of his deal.”
NINTH AND FINAL UPDATE:  “The scar on Plaxico’s leg from where the bullet went in has healed, and it sort of looks like the kid from Calvin and Hobbes.”  (OK, the last one is fake.  The rest are real.)

  1. He’s added new tweets as well now
“RosenhausSportsI’m also happy to report that Earnest Graham’s ankle is doing great and he has been able to work out at full speed. He is looking good.”

  2. If you are coming off an injury and want to become 100% healthy, hire Drew Rosehaus as your agent and he’ll make it happen.

  3. The problem with Twitter is that you don’t full coverage of what someone is doing.
I see no mention of him having a bowel movement this morning.

  4. Why would anyone have lunch with Sinorice Moss. The wretchedness of his career has been overwhelming.

  5. I thought Ochocinco was spelled as one word and no spaces. Did Drew spell his name wrong or do I have it wrong? Anyway, i’m waiting for the tweet:
“I’m happy to say (insert player name) has just been tasered and thrown in jail for possession of cocaine. He gave the cops a run for their money proving his shoulder is back to 100%.

  6. How exactly is Earnest Graham unemployed? Last I heard being at the top of the dept chart at your position means you have a job.

Bowel movements? Drew calls them “tweets”.

  8. Wow, it’s refreshing to hear Drew Rosenhaus talk about his clients. I mean he’s not biased. At all. I just checked out his Twitter account and boy does he speak the truth or what.
“Anquan Boldin has lost a step, he’s injury prone. Not sure who’s gonna give up two 1st round picks for that guy.”
“Chad Ocho Cinco is washed up yet he demands a trade. Does he really think anybody wants him on their team?”
But that’s fiction. Instead he just talks about how everyone of his clients will is in perfect shape and how they all will make the Pro Bowl next season.

  9. “[Bengals receiver] Chad Ocho Cinco has been working overtime this offseason with his training. He is in the best shape of his career & very motivated.”
    ********************************************************************************
I’ll believe that when I see it. That clown hasn’t been motivated for the last two years.

    LOL…
    I love this site! 🙂

  11. “Chad Ocho Cinco has been working overtime this offseason with his training. He is in the best shape of his career & very motivated.”
Chad is very motivated to not cooperate, study film, practice hard and to get into fist fights with coaches and other staff. Anything he can do to get the Bungles to trade him he is totally motivated and up for.

  12. Ok so 100 clients gives Rosenhaus the power to have two football teams… excuse me why I tweet….
Ok, I am done tweeting, but I heard at the next owner’s meeting there is a possibility of renaming the pro bowl to the D-Rose Bowl…
I mean why not? according to his comments even he is going to make the pro bowl….

  13. Whynot- not to be a smart ass but uhhhh why not? Very easily. It’s called going to the gym, pushing some metal and working your ass off. Not everyone has to take steroids (if thats what u were insinuating) to get big. I been going to the gym for 15 yrs..Been a member of various gyms all around tampa and what ive noticed its always the same people working out. What most people think is impossible, a select few are out there grinding and actually doing it. No excuses. I know for myself and especially professional athletes bodies that are already conditioned for the gym and strenuous activities, its very easy to put on and put off weight with the aid of nothing more than protein..i can go from 225 to 205 back to 225 like nothing

this post was an obvious roid rage…

  15. Earnest Graham is not unemployed and is going to battle Derrick Ward for starting time at RB.

  16. If we wanted to follow his tweets, we would. Why are you posting Drew’s tweets but not Morts? Does not make sense to post his tweets…

  17. Seriously, why post someone’s Tweets? If I wanted to read them I would just go to Twitter and read them. Hell they’re all inconsequential anyways… no news there.

  18. If Bell gained 20 lbs. of muscle since the end of the season, then I would like to know what he is adding (or injecting) to his morning bowl of Wheaties.

  19. If I wanted to see Drew Rows-in-house’s twitter updates, I would be on twitter.

  20. Mike, you are improperly formatting your twitter quotes.
When quoting someone on Twitter do it like this:
RT @MichaelScott “That’s what she said”
    (RT means re-tweet.)

  21. “…the kid from Calvin and Hobbes”?
that would be Calvin. dumb joke anyway.

  22. Rumor: Boldin to the New Orleans Saints for Devery Henderson and next year’s 3rd round pick.

  23. The Aztec Fanboy Mafia in San Diego is upset that Rosenhaus hasn’t mentioned Special Teams scrub Kassim Osgood.

  24. this just highlights how much of a douchebag Drew is. this has nothing to do with the fact he’s an agent – you can see right through how big of a megalomaniac he is by how self-important he makes himself.
advertising on twitter is a horrible idea, and florio you make (or rather your source makes) great points – all he’s doing is alienating his other clients. If he *does* take the time to twitt about all his clients, he’ll dilute the real news and make his blog a circus of annoying updates that don’t mean anything.
stupid idea. and i’m still having a hard time understand why twitter is so popular? i don’t care to know every detail or update about even my friends, much less people i couldn’t care about.

  25. i’ve always known that Rosenhaus was a “twit” now this just proves it.
    NEXT TWIT.

  26. Are any of Drew’s clients NOT going to have a great year? Anybody going to be just average? . . . injured? . . . suspended? . . .

  27. lol damn some of you know absolutely dick about diet and training..some of you fat asses automatically assume its steroids cuz a dude gains 20 pounds since the end of the season. Which by the way was FIVE mths ago. You eat 6 times a day, take in the right carbs (complex carbs) 200+ grams of protein per day, get a lot of sleep and bust ass in the gym. Which a lot of you with your flabby man tits know nothing about. But theres always gonna be remarks by lazy people like “oh he must be on steroids” because they assume thats the only way to get that big

  28. NINTH AND FINAL UPDATE: “The scar on Plaxico’s leg from where the bullet went in has healed, and it sort of looks like the kid from Calvin and Hobbes.” (OK, the last one is fake. The rest are real.)
probably the most random succession of words ever constructed.

  29. “Chad Ocho Cinco has been working overtime this offseason with his training. He is in the best shape of his career & very motivated.”
This is about as believable as my girlfriend putting saran wrap over her face so I can TWEET all over it.
    Come on.
    Seriously.
Rosenhaus is a douche bag. What flavor……Spring Rain.
