Chargers’ Floyd Signs One-Year Tender

San Diego Chargers restricted free agent wide receiver Malcolm Floyd signed his one-year tender today, the team announced on its official Web site. Floyd was assigned a second-round tender of $1.545 million. Floyd, who has been absent from the offseason conditioning program, plans to report to an Organized Team Activity session on Monday. “I just can’t describe how good it feels to be back with the guys,” Floyd told Chargers.com. “I’ve stressed about the contract stuff for a while, but I’m glad it’s all over. I’m ready to go to work.” Floyd caught 27 passes for 465 yards and four touchdowns last season. In five NFL seasons, Floyd has registered 52 career receptions for 821 yards and eight touchdowns.
