Report: Brady's Comeback Nearly Complete

In the wake of being sidelined last season with torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is now operating with no restrictions, according to Albert Breer of SportingNews.com.
Brady is reportedly, “more than excited,” about his medical progress, according to the report, which cited sources close to Brady.
“He’s full-go,” a source told Breer.
Brady’s rehabilitation has received strong reviews from his teammates.
“It’s been great to see him,” wide receiver Wes Welker said. “He looks like the same guy to me.”
Patriots coach Bill Belchick told reporters last month that Brady has been able to work without any limitations.
However, Brady will likely need to wear a knee brace, according to Patriots owner Robert Kraft. That’s a standard precaution following the kind of severe injury that Brady suffered.

  1. Brady will feed off any doubt about his knee and be as good as ever this year. Welcome back, Tom.
Now cue the neanderthals wishing Brady further injury.

  2. First defensive end that tries to sack Brady is going to get a cap in his ass from Gisele’s body guard.

  3. Thats good news for me. Now I have someone else to hate on this year besides Brett “Stale Fart” Favre.

  4. Pff. Brady wasn’t even injured. It was all about the Pats monkeying with the injury report, and setting teams up to get destroyed this season. There’s nothing wrong with Tom’s knee and there never was.
I also heard that a couple times last season, he suited up in Matt Cassel’s uniform, just to help his stats, and make sure the Patriots could get maximum return for him in the offseason.
    Those damn Patriots.

  5. HE IS RISEN.
That why I rise from the grave singing church songs like
    I was Je-sus Christ ba-rum-pum-pum-pum

  6. And thus spake the gods of football, “another year of disappointment awaits the rest of the NFL, for the Patriots are at full strength.”

  7. and let me be the first patriots fan to say- ha-ha haters, i bet you all puked in your mouth when you thought about how good the Pats are when Brady plays. Just think, this year he has Fred Taylor, Joey Galloway, Chris Baker(underrated pickup) to go along with what they already had w/ Moss, Welker, Watson(i admit, i hate watson. his talent is getting open, but he cant catch..the good old catch 22,or drop 22 in watsons case). But just think, Galloway is just an extra guy, as is Taylor. The Pats are going to be ridiculous(barring nightmare redux). Good luck NFL, the Pats are back and better than ever. oh, and possibly Derrick Burgess too. HA.

  8. All new this fall, Sundays on CBS…Tom Brady is Culpepper 2.0…an all new player..with an all too familiar injury

  9. Patriots coach Bill Belchick told reporters last month that Brady has been able to work without any limitations, he is a master cameraman !
You should see his new technique????
Brady said to Kraft and Belicheat sorry Belchick,
    Relax. Take a deep breath.
I have the answers you seek, New Filming Techniques -.
Gisele and I have been practicing in our bedroom !
    she calls me “The Cameraman”

  10. Funny, I seem to remember hearing the same thing about Carson Palmer a few years ago, turns out the guy has never been the same since HIS knee got debacled.

  11. this is bad news for 31 nfl franchises and all of their faithful followers.

  12. Florio, I remember a while back you were predicting that Brady could miss much if not all of 20009.
By the way, nice hit and run on that little piece of Patriots are in trouble again with the league after not including someone on the injury report who, you know, actually played and carried the ball ten times. If you think the league is going to fine Belichick for that one with everything that goes on with injury reports, you’re on crack. If this weren’t a slow month for NFL news, you wouldn’t have even mentioned it.

  13. so you’re saying his “cam-corder” finger is ready for the season then, right? 16-0 and goodell looking the other way, here we come.

Looks like we’ll see Brady & Co. in Miami this Feb
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………..
According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald,
Taylor just want to play New England , he wants Tom Brady on his as# all day.
    FOXBOROUGH –
“I don’t like this”. (Tom Brady)
Jason Taylor, Joey Porter, Matt Roth, Akin Ayodele and Channing Crowder, that is a very good rotation!
All eyes will naturally be on quarterback Tom Brady’s return from left knee surgery, Taylor addition will add depth to the defense, Even if Taylor has lost some speed, teams will key on him and Joey Porter, that will make a open door to get to quarterback Tom Brady.

  15. “And thus spake the gods of football, “another year of disappointment awaits the rest of the NFL, for the Patriots are at full strength.” ”
They always are during the offseason. When’s the last time the Patriots won the Super Bowl, anyway? TO was an Eagle, right?

  16. “Good luck NFL, the Pats are back and better than ever.”
That’s not really saying much. Three out of four? It’s been done, no cheating required. Try having 20 winning seasons in a row in a dominant division like the NFCE. As good as the Pats have been recently, they’re not even halfway to that mark even though they play in a weak division.

  17. Brady was given a 100% clean bill of health, and was listed as “probable – shoulder injury ” to start the season.

  18. He’s got alot to prove. Manning came back from a knee injury and won the MVP. Brady has got to comeback and win a SB.

  19. Emperor in the black hoodie: “He is rebuilt – rise , my young apprentice”.
Cut to dark figure rising through fog. Cue menacing mechanical breathing.
Emperor in the black hoodie: “Rise…Darth Brady!”
Now they just have to figure out how to make a black cape part of the Pats uniform.

  20. @VoxVeritas:
When the Hell was the last time your Cowgirls won a playoff game?
I also seem to recall Jimmy J. saying the filming practices of BB were the same he applied in Dallas when they won 2, can’t say Switzer did this, but I’m sure he did.
Don’t be bitter, just enjoy another great season by the Pats.

  21. Re: sim448
I wish you and others would stop the Watson bashing. What I don’t understand is why the team and all other “football insiders” can’t see how talented this guy really is, but he has only one flaw – he can’t catch a ball that is thrown at him below waist level. The guy is like a funnel when a ball is thrown anywhere above his bottom rib up to a foot over his head or a foot beyond his left or right. A ball just can’t be thrown low to him, for some reason he can’t catch them. So if anyone from the team is reading this, please pass along this tidbit if you haven’t already gotten this clue. Review film, check out every throw that came his way and tell me I’m wrong. The only high passes he never caught were defended well and interfered with.

    Pats against NFC since 2001:
3-1; 3-1; 3-1; 4-0; 3-1; 4-0; 4-0; 4-0 = 28-4 against the NFC since 2001. Yeah Vox, the Pats are really going to get challenged by anyone in the NFC East.

  23. Manning’s injury was far overblown, even by him in his attempt to pimp himself to Peter King as the MVP.
Carson Palmer had a very good year the year after his ACL.

  24. Well, we’ll see if his knee gets “blowed up” again (thanks Emmit)
    BTW : Brady fumbled !

  25. Ray Guy says: “BTW : Brady fumbled ! ”
Maybe he did, but we all know that back in 76′ Ben Dreith was in Al’s pocket and made sure the Raiders won (replays showed there was no illegal contact–not even close). Call it poetic justice, payback, karma, retribution, whatever, but what goes around comes around.

  26. finsbooyah says “No one fears Brady anymore ”
Well you certainly shouldn’t fear him hiding behind your keyboard with your chest puffed out, you don’t have to play him. The last two times I saw Brady play the Dolphins in 07 these were his lines:
    21-for-25 for 354 yards, 6 touchdown passes
    18-for-33 for 233 and 3 touchdown passes
You’re just hoping the knee injury will give the Dolphins a fighting chance. No such luck, he’ll be on a mission. The Fins had their chance last year when Brady took his hiatus. The Fins were just happy to win the East and roll over like the gutless team they really are to Bmore. It’s back to being the AFC East doormats for you Bozo’s this year.
