Belichick's Son Arrested For Underage Drinking

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s son, Brian Belichick, was reportedly arrested for underage drinking during the NCAA lacrosse championships Monday at Gillette Stadium, according to WBZ-TV.
Brian Belichick, 17, was among a group of 52 people arrested by Foxboro police for underage drinking.
Per the report, Brian Belichick, who played high school lacrosse last season, paid a fine in Wrentham District Court on Tuesday to resolve the case.
Stephen Belichick, Belichick’s son, was arrested for possession of marijuana in October of 2006 and received six months of probation.

  1. Can’t wait to hear what the wolves say about this… I know its not the same as Andy Reid’s kid’s problems, but will people call for Belichick to resign to get his personal life in order?

  2. Of course he did. Criminal element runs in the family.
The father illicitly records other teams signals and practices, and breaks up marriages, including his own, with adulterous affairs.
So the son needs a little escape from the pos that is his father. Truly regrettable, yet understandable.

  3. Belichick should’ve known something was up when little Stevie was hanging around Britt Reid.
Maybe one day we’ll finally get a Tracy Phillips drunken party night captured on camera phones.

  4. He’s gone from pot to beer, the kid is recovering. Way to go Steph

  5. Holy crap. Possession of marijuana? Underage drinking? If I didn’t know any better…I’d say these sound like normal, socially well-adjusted kids.

  6. Why is a 17 year old’s drinking ticket relevant to football news…. hmmm its not!

  7. cue the haters- videotaping, pot smoking, underage drinking. lock them all up!!!!
however, it was pretty stupid on the kids part to be drinking there

  8. Typical of the Patriots family. Drunkards, and dopeheads.
Let the P.R spin begin by the cheaters, dopeheads, and drunkards.
Oh wow, I just remembered,,,,,,,,,that covers the team AND their fans.
    LMAO,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and LAMAO again.

  9. Pretty low to report on a 17 year old son of a commentator/former coach. You guys sink lower and lower everyday. I’m surprised this wasn’t Florio.

  10. Kids will be kids.
I’m in college and I’m so glad I’m 22 so I don’t have to deal with the paranoia of underage drinking anymore. We’re gonna do it anyway, might as well lower the age.

  11. I’d hate to be that kid, having Bellicheat as my dad… I guess he could just claim it was given to him and didn’t know it was till after it happened. Just like dear ol’ dad…

  12. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!
    This cant be true!!!!!!!
There is no way the Bill Belicheat’s boy could have done anything illegal !
Where could that boy have learned those things? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm,,,, Maybe from his cheating papa? Maybe from the dopehead players on his papa’s team?
Hurry Hurry bobby Kraft and Roger Goodell,, start spinning the coverup propaganda.
Apple sure didnt fall far from the Patriots tree did it?
Must have been Steeler fan cops huh?
Let the whining, crying, arrogant, stick their head in the sand, moaning fans start their denial and conspiracy spin in 3……..2………1………………go!

  13. hey thats nothing…better than Reid’s kids wreckless driving around with guns and heroin, and then attempting to smuggle 100 oxy’s or some other pills into prison lol

  14. why do you have to report everything that pertains to somebody in the nfl? is a 17 year old kid drinking really news? have a little respect for peoples families.

  15. Cue the Pat haters!!
I’m sure some rag will dig up a candid photo of the 52 people coming out of the Kraft suite right???

  16. somewhere “coleslaw” just got a boner.
Incidentally, i think the story here is how the sons of a supposed genius keep getting caught doing the things that must of us always got away with….

  17. Hmmm, I wonder if everyone will start taking cheap shots at the Hoodie and tell him to retire like they did with Andy Reid.

  18. “Brian Belichick, 17, was among a group of 52 people arrested by Foxboro police for underage drinking.”
Damn, in Mobile the cops are usually buying the kids beer.,,,,,,, kidding fo course.

  19. OMG a 17 year old DRINKING!!!!!
and what does this have to do with anything?….write about football.

  20. Oh goody…Let’s hear all the haters pile onto this story. Because noone here ever did drank before they turned 21 or smoked some trees in their day.
I wonder…Will any of the usual haters go outside the box and admit that this is a nonstory, we’ve all done it, and Florio is just pouring gasoline on the fire?
Or will Belichick be vilified as a horrible person in the typical ignorant fashion?
My money is on the latter

  21. If Belichick’s son can get busted there, then anyone can.
Belichick’s kids should meet up with Andy Reid’s and have a real good time.

  22. OMG the teenagers are drinking and smoking weed!
52 people at one game? Was it a sting operation? I didn’t know the Massachusetts cops had solved all the rapes and murders. Good for them!

  23. @ finsider
Smoking weed and underage drinking is NOT, I repeat NOT, tantamount to being a heroin junkie and almost killing someone in an auto accident.

  24. The next thing you know his kids will be surfing for porn on the internet. . . . . . . . . . . . . . like the rest of us. 🙂

  25. Bill isn’t upset that he was drinking. He is upset that he got caught. Much like Spygate.

  26. I knew this story would at least be good for having idiots amuse me by drooling predictable stupidity on their keyboards.
    Thanks idiots!

  27. I’m a huge Pats fan, but I have to admitt it is pretty funny to think of the kid telling his dad he just miss interpreted the drinking laws.

  28. Oh, those Cheating Belichicks! BWAHAHAHAHAAAH!!! THIS outta give you chumps who’re more dedicated to hating us Patriots than loving your OWN team something to cuddle up with for a few weeks! BWAAHAHAHAAAAAAAAH!!!

  29. How many draft picks should we be stripped of? At least the three second round picks we got for 2010 and thats just the start. Tom should be forced to divorce Giselle and marry that Irish virgin singer.

  30. Sucks his dad his famous. I doubt they’ll publish the names of the other 51 kids.

  31. Its called karma folks, you cannot cheat in this world without having to pay the price later down the line. You can think you’ll get away with it but karma will always exact its price.
Remember back in the day when Bellicheat was being compared to Lombardi? Mind you, Lombardi had rock solid morality in his life, Bellicheat no so much. Now look at this from a practical point of view, how could a 17 year old put much stock in what his father tells him to do when he can see quite plainly that his own father is a lying, cheating, skunk. That would cause me to drink also.

You should put your martyrdom to music.
see the Harrison thread to see how I fixed this for you:
Never mind the youngest son drinking Patron (rolls eyes) or the idiotic comments you’ve made on PFTof late.
We know that one son was arrested for smoking pot. Tells me all I need to know…guy is not a good father.

  33. Please, what kid hasn’t been popped by thier Parents or the Cops for
drinking under age? The age was still 18 and I was 17 in the Military.
I drank on Post, no one carded us if we were in uniform.
Lacrosse is big in the Belichick household. BB played, Daughter played and the too! He always shows for that weekend. Bill was there, I guess the kid got caught doing what we all did when we were Teens…
There isn’t a comparison with Reid, other than both the Coaches kids got caught…but, .Big diffirence between selling drugs and sneaking a few at a sporting event!

  34. You think that the cops would have brought the kid to his father and let the father deal with it. The cops make tons of money in details from the Patriots and should have cut the kid some slack instead of making for an embarrassing situation.

  35. Normally I wouldn’t be one to comment “not news,” but the typical travails of a minor should not be reported as news. Normally I also wouldn’t say anything that could be even remotely interpreted as defending Bill Belichick, but the kid didn’t pick his father. This should not have been publicized in any way shape or form.

  36. I’d make a comment about the idiocy that is gameday, but I gave up making fun of the retarded for lent. Wait… lent is over? Keep hiding behind your keyboard and talking out of your ass moron.

  37. “Maybe one day we’ll finally get a Tracy Phillips drunken party night captured on camera phones. ”
Yeah I wouldn’t hold my breath on that. Family is very important to the Phillips family, unlike SOME NFL head coaches, apparently.

  38. Pretty sad commentary that some think that this is “normal”.
Maybe he’ll get off when he explains to the judge that he did not break any laws as he interpreted them.

  39. “Of course he did. Criminal element runs in the family.”
Pats Suck you have a brain that makes a mentally deficient chipmunk look brilliant. Once you grow up enough so you’re not using Mommy’s or Daddy’s computer maybe one day you’ll do some underage drinking too. Like about 98% of all other teenagers. Gee what a criminal.

  40. “Or will Belichick be vilified as a horrible person in the typical ignorant fashion?”
That was pretty much established before this.

  41. I guess in an effort to be greener more and more houses are made of glass these days. Cut the kid some slack, he’s the victim of our society’s draconian fear of drinking, the same mentality that brought us prohibition
    Prost!

  42. jimmysmith, Belichik is no longer compared to Lombardi…….because he’s surpassed him.

  43. This kid should know that alcohol is a gateway drug and pretty soon he’ll be pimp-slapping his old lady and letting the pit bull out of the cage to maul a kid. You’re not a good father when you do that.

Since you rode in on your high horse playing the sanctimonious card, I will go on record that Belichick’s sons haven’t been arrested for anything that I haven’t done.
Contrast this with Andy Reid, whose two sons are heroin addicts, one being being high on heroin with guns in the car after nearly killing someone in an auto accident, and then being caught last week smuggling 90 pills up his rectum.(damn near killed em!!), earning him a ticket to the nastiest maximum security prison in Pa.
Or Tony Dungy’s son, who tragically killed himself. I won’t put this on Dungy, even though the boy was still a minor living a thousand miles away from his father.
As opposed to Belichick, whose boys I see standing right behind him on the sidelines every week. Yeah, they must hate him.
Horribly misinformed post, mrmagoo, but par for the course.

  45. Big Deal we all did it
The good news is I did not get busted
Did not read all the posts but I am sure BB is getting bashed
We all did it no big deal life goes on the good news is the kid is alive to fix the mistakes he is making
For all you bashers get a lilfe
And BTW this has zero to do with the NFL

  46. If this is so acceptable, why isn’t there more of a push to remove the legal drinking age and legalize marijuana?

  47. Good for them…enjoy your youth. Drink up boys…just for the love of pete DON’T DRIVE!!!!

  48. I’m fairly sure that marijuana has been decriminalized in MA as well since 2006.

  49. He should use Daddy’s excuse from Spygate. “I didn’t know it was illegal!”

Sorry to have pulled your pigtail so hard, sweetie. I think if you asked someone with a sense of irony to re-examine this for you and explain it to you that you’d see I didn’t ride in on any horse.
Please go to google and type in the key words: ‘glass’, ‘house’ and ‘stones’ and see if that may help you stop and think before posting in the future.

—–I know that there are *a lot* more sociopaths walking around than many of us realize – but calling the kid a sociopath for underage drinking is just laughable. The reason why I read this 82-response (as of this writing) thread is because I knew I’d be entertained by ridiculousness like this.

  52. DarthJay;
Glad to see how easy it is to get your panties in a bunch.
Hear that?…………………………. That’s me laughing at you!
Please stop the “hiding behind keyboards” comments. What am I supposed to do, talk to the moniter and hope it translates into your telephone?
Oh wait, you probably think that can happen.
Get out of your star trek outfits, get a job, a get a life besides holding Belicheats sac.
