In the wake of accepting a plea bargain in his DUI case today where he pleaded guilty to reckless operation of a vehicle, Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall released a statement through his agent, Doug Hendrickson.
Here’s the entire statement: “Today I learned that my charge was amended and reduced to Reckless Operation of a Vehicle. I regret that I placed myself in that situation, and I want to apologize to my family, the Cincinnati Bengals organization, my teammates, the Cincinnati community and [NFL] Commissioner [Roger] Goodell. I have learned a very valuable lesson and I look forward to the upcoming season.”
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Hall will be required to spend three days in a residential driver intervention program, pay a $250 fine, donate $500 to the USO, and serve 64 hours of community service.
