Mike Jurecki of XTRA Sports 910 in Phoenix has the details on the new contract given by the Cardinals to safety Adrian Wilson. It’s a five-year, $37 million deal, with $18.5 million guaranteed. Also, Wilson will earn $22.5 million over the first three years, plus incentives. Those numbers surpass the five-year deal signed in 2007 by Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, whose package is worth $33 million and carried $15.375 million guaranteed. The deal nearly matches the contract Bob Sanders received that same year from the Colts: five years, $37.5 million with $19 million guaranteed. Wilson had been signed through 2009 at a base salary of $4.75 million.
