Belichick Takes The High Road

Unlike the verbal free-for-all that’s escalating between New York Jets coach Rex Ryan and Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has no plans to enter the fray.
Despite Ryan’s oft-quoted remark that he “never came here to kiss Bill Belichick’s rings,” Belichick declined to take the bait and didn’t respond in kind during an interview today, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday.
“It doesn’t matter,” Belichick said of Ryan’s brash comments. “I’m just trying to get ready for tomorrow’s practice and that’s it.”
Belichick was complimentary of Ryan’s work as well as the Jets in general, maintaining his composure instead of making this into a bigger offseason story.
“I have a lot of respect for Rex and what he did in Baltimore, the defense his teams played,” Belichick said. “We’ve always had great battles with the Jets, so I’m sure that will continue. It’s a good rivalry. They beat us up here last year. They kind of got the last punch in on that one.”
Continuing the trash-talking theme of the day in the AFC East, Ryan got in a fresh shot at Crowder after today’s minicamp practice, according to Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News.
“Let’s see if he can top this one,” Ryan said. “I’ve walked over tougher guys going to a fight. . . . He can send himself and his father after me.”
If it’s this feisty in June, imagine what the verbal assaults are going to be like during the regular season.
Just a hunch, but Tony Sparano and Bill Parcells might eventually advise Crowder to knock it off at some point. As for Ryan, he’s unlikely to call off the dogs.

  1. Making Bill Belichick seem comparatively classy is a remarkable accomplishment. Congrats, Ryan & Crowder.

  2. bellidict takes the high road??? The scum bag’s a cheater and so is his little creep former assistant Mangini!

  3. No point in talking. It’s a “doing” league. Such as what you are doing is doing the talking.
Win games and it shuts everyone up.
The Patriots have 16 games on their regular season schedule, all as important as the one before and the one after. All that matters is what actually happens between the goal lines during those games.
Talk is talk. Wins are what counts.

  4. Yep, now I know for sure why it took so long for Ryan to get a HC job.
BB handled it well though. The only thing that matters if if the team performs, not who has a bigger “swagger” in June..ugh!
Ryan says games are won in June with prep. Well to an extent yes. But they are never won by HCs trash talking to/ “challenging the manhood” of other teams and their players. Especially when the HC in question has done absolutely NOTHING as a HC in the NFL. Ever. Fans love this ish now, but if he can’t back it up he should be ridiculed even more than he should be now. This is childish behavior on his part.

  5. what did Rex Ryan say that was so bad about Belichick? That he wouldn’t kiss his rings.. WOAH… I wouldn’t want someone to kiss Belichick’s rings..

  6. rex ryan is going to go the way of his father. i give him two years at the most..

  7. Its refreshing to see that off the field the NFL there is still some fun, too bad we can’t get more on the field.

  8. Who would have thought that my hatred for the Jets would grow AFTER Mangini left?

  9. “I’ve walked over tougher guys going to a fight. . . . ”
    hahahaha…awesome.

  10. I like the Jets and all but nothing would satisfy me more than seeing Rex go 2-14 this season

  11. If Rob Ryan ever wants a head coaching gig, he better tell Rex to shut up. I liked the comment about Belichik’s rings, but the verbal jabs with Crowder just makes it sounds like the boys are as nutty as their old man.

  12. Another quality I love about Belichick. He usually goes overboard in praise of an upcoming opponent, they do this well, do that well. Never allows any bulletin board material or any room for the other team to feel slighted or disrespected. Nothing but the utmost respect for his opponent.
Don’t count on him lowering himself to the level of Rex Ryan. Really, what would be the point? You can talk a big game now, which means nothing, or say nothing now, and let your play speak for itself come this fall. Rex Ryan is setting himself up for massive embarrassment, ridicule and failure by using his approach.

  13. Maybe they should just throw down or pull gats on each other in a strip bar after smoking some weed…you know…NFL style!

  14. vince mcmahon is the new pr guy for the jets…from irrelevence to the land of sprts entertainment. give me a break.

  15. Rex Ryan has no class, hes just a childish brat whos just ranting around, I cant believe his team and so-called analysts arent calling him out. Why is it that Singletary takes heat for his approach, yet this guy has such strange antics he needs to SHUT UP! Im going to be LOVING it when Belichick hands his ass to him then lets see what he has to say. I may not love the Pats but they know how to carry themselves unlike that fatass chump who inherited a great D, and has a father who ACTUALLY did something. HES ALL TALK, and his team is believing him, hahaha

  16. This is a riot, I can’t wait for the Jets and Dolphins to beat the crap out of each other leaving them ripe for the picking for the Patriots

  17. That’s okay, BB will make Rex sorry he said that when the Pats spank the Jets 45-10 in their first matchup of the season. And I’m sure Rex should push away from the buffet before any more trash talking…he’s got more chins than Belichick has rings. His OTA’s must consist of 2 a days at Golden Corral.

  18. I’ve never been a fan of Belichick, but I am impressed at how he handled himself here. There are some people that aren’t worth getting into a pissing contest with, and until Rex Ryan proves that he can be a successful head coach, he should be in that category for Belichick.

  19. People are way too uptight in this country, including Beliprick. It’s nice to see a coach (Ryan) add a little fun to the offseason, and soon, the regular season. Ryan said nothing offensive towards Beliprick. All he said was that he wasn’t afraid of him or anyone else. Beliprick, in his usual stick up my ass manner, replied as he usually does, by not saying much. Football is a business, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. I mean, Beliprick doesn’t even have fun when he win a game or a Superbowl. He just seems to hate everything and everyone. Lighten up, it’s a game

  20. Even the Patriot haters have to admit that, looking back….it was pretty damn funny when Matt Light wailed on Channing Crowder, and maybe you don’t blame him so much today?
My dream? A repeat of that, only with Rex Ryan doing the beating.
And to be honest, that’s the only reason I even know who Channing Crowder is. And it’d be funny if Rex Ryan made a joke about that.

  21. Why is this a surprise? This is his canned answer for everything?
“Hey Bill, what do you think of the topless photos of Brittney Spears that leaked?”
    – Really, I am just trying to prepare for practice tomorrow.
“Bill, Bill! Lots of people on the intergoogle call you mean names and ‘creatively’ alter letters of your name to make it sound derogatory, any response to that?”
    – The folks on the internet run a very fine operation and it’s not much of a surprise to see they are so successful.
“But Bill, that didn’t make any sense, most of them live in their mom’s basement, have an IQ of 3 and have gonorrhea and the gout from diddling themselves.”
    – … well yeah, I thought Tom threw the ball well today and we’re looking forward to getting back to work and hopefully having a successful season.
    And so on…

  22. I can’t decide whether Rex Ryan is a shrewd provocateur or a demented moron. For now, I’ll go with the latter. He has to win something before he can play the idiot savant convincingly.

  23. Would anyone expect anything less then from God “BB” and his prodigy Brady and the classy, best run, and most respect owner in ALL of sports? But Kraft and Boston Patriots, who can do no wrong, and no one ever does anything wrong or says anything wrong? I’m suprised Kraft has appointed himself owner of Gods team yet….Barf…what a bunch of crap! How we all forget just a few weeks ago, Wes Welker and Randy Moss talking smack!…

  24. People that constantly bombard Belicheck have no idea where the high road is and passed the exit long long ago.
Bill also took the high road during spygate. The mans been in the league for over 20 years. Do you really think he could not have blown the whistle on other coaches? Really? He took ALL the heat (not that he didn’t deserve some heat.) and did so with dignity.
Ironically one of his sons took the high road as well.

  25. All this yammering will be pretty funny come December when the Jets and Tunas are both 4-8 and everyone’s figuring out their tee times for January.

  26. Erm, I’m still wondering how Rex thinks he’d be allowed to kiss Belichick’s rings…

It’s idiotic attitudes like that which lead to moronic Wide Receivers planning stupid, attention grabbing stunts that weren’t even funny when the idea was original.

  28. Wasn’t Rex Ryan the Ravens’ version of Barry Switzer? In 2008, he was hired as defensive coordinator of a loaded Ravens defense.
His players made him look good, now he’s acting like he’s actually something special…

  29. “All that matters is what actually happens between the goal lines during those games”.
Actually, there’s generally some pretty important stuff that happens behind the goal lines during those game.

  30. I bet Rex will get a lot more quiet after the Jets start out 1-7. Honestly, I think the Ravens would be just as good if they had no defensive coaches at all. Now Rex gets to follow in the grand tradition of Marvin Lewis and Mike Nolan. Ah well, at least Rex will give Coors plenty of material for their commercials this year.
If Mangini had said this, there would be a thousand comments by now from the 85 IQ and under crowd.

  31. “Why is this a surprise? This is his canned answer for everything?

Hall of phucking FAME post!!! Laughed my WHOLE aas off!! BOO Yah!!!

  32. I laughed out loud @ DarthJay. Granted, you’re probably not a Belichick fan, but I think it’s more of an aimed response than a canned one. There’s method to the madness… well it might not be madness. Maybe more like drivel. But it works. When you watch the press conferences that only Boston fans see, you can tell oftentimes that he’d like to RIP some people for the dumb questions they ask. But he remains (usually) composed and it can’t be easy. I think it’s great. GO BB.

  33. First of all BB doesn’t have to respond to anything, he can just point at his rings and laugh and this comment is coming from a Eagles fan who hates the Patriots. Now ole Rex is a chip off the old block you want your team in the papers everyday all day and he is doing just that plus he’s selling tickets. Think about this for a second nobody is talking about Brett Farve and his stay with the Jets anymore are they? He is truly what the NFL needs a breath of fresh air and no more bs responses to reporters questions, like I said before please somebody give Rob Ryan a head coaching gig, those two during press conferences after games would be must see tv.

  34. Let’s all hope that New York fans buy into Ryan. There’s nothing better than watching Jets fans crash.

  35. djerseyguy….what really? jersey is a terrible place not only to live, but to exist in our country. armpit of the US

  36. Ryan should have said. “I’ve walked over a lot of tougher buffet tables going to a fight.” Getting into never-ending pissing contests with opposing players. Only asshat Jest fans would think that’s “cool”. Rex should join those morons at halftime at Gate D. He can be leading the pack screaming “show me your tits!” to the unlucky female who happens to wander in to that screaming green pack of baboons.

  37. Ryan is getting way out of hand…there is going to have to be a no fly zone between the 40’s in pre game Ryan is going to try and get in fist fights in pre game..the officals are going to have to study the punishment for coach and opposing player altercations in pre game…

  38. Uh, BuckFutter, Matt Light didnt wail on anyone. He grabbed Crowders hair, while Crowder stood up and traded punches WITHOUT a helmet on.
And then Light avoided Crowder on the way to the locker room.
AFC East is going to be an adventure this year fellas. T.O. hasnt even opened his mouth yet.

  39. Jersey ain’t a bad place to live! Once you get past the pollution, wannabe mafioso’s, Jets fans, high taxes, Yankees fans, awful driving on the NJ Turnpike, disgusting beaches, and rampant over-population, Jersey has a certain charm to it.
Ok, maybe not, but it’s my home. Go Pats!

  40. @ blackglass3
My sincerest condolances to you on your home state.
Having lived in Philadelphia for a short period of time now, I can verify each of your comments. And since Jersey is, regrettably, a stones throw from where I live, I am witness to the terror and chaos caused on the roads of Philly by those vehicles bearing those pollution-piss-yellow NJ plates. For what its worth, from what I’ve seen from going to Phillies games, my theory is that horrible reputation Philly gets is due in large part to the neanderthals who come from across the Delaware River.
My god…what awful stain on this great land of ours. “Garden State” my ass.

In that case, the Steelers are leading in that catagory in the past 5 years. Two Super Bowl wins in the last four mean that the Pats are sucking hind teat and their fans need to shut the F up since the Pats have won no titles recently to warrant the fans running their big yaps.

  42. Hey FlorioBorio-
Your posts crack me up…maybe not in the way you intend, though.
Look, kid, if you’re going to come on here and try to stir things up, you need to be able to bring some facts to the table and be at least a shred objective. Just coming on here to flame Patriots fans and call them whiny pathetic pussies ain’t going to gain you any credibility…it makes you look like a joke. I don’t care one way or the other, but come on man…your posts are all exactly the same. What’s with the hostility towards Pats fans? If your a Steeler fan, you have plenty to cheer about, right?
Don’t take this the wrong way, but in my professional opinion, I can only surmise that your either a kid just messing around, or you have some deep seated problems with anger that you might need to get checked out. I am not joking.

  43. Where do you think Baltimore’s defense got their personality? Don’t worry, Rex will fold like a lawn chair when no one is intimidated. Just like the Ravens’ defense.

The only deep seated problems here are with Pats fans, who obviously have no idea about how to root for a team that is winning. You all bandy about the word “class” yet none of you show any. As for your assessment of my comments, my response is simple: When Pats fans cease criticizing the fans and players of other teams, then criticism of your fans and players will cease as well. Odd how you all think that your comments will go unmatched or unchallenged. I can talk football with the best of them and your “professional” opinion as to my motivation is not only inaccurate but also unsolicited. Better for you to direct your “professional” opinions towards Pats fans who feel the constant need to attempt to tear down the rest of the teams in the league, despite the fact that the Pats are five years removed from any Super Bowl title and have been surpassed not only by the Steelers but also by several other teams. The fact that nearly half of the Pats’ projected roster will be 29 years old or older should be of great concern to your oblivious fans, yet they continue to object when their team is characterized as “old”. Continue to wear those blinders though, as the rest of us will continue to enjoy watching the slow but continuous decline of your team. Feel free to continue to attempt to assassinate my character as I could care less what you all think.

  45. The only deep seated problems here are with Pats fans, who obviously have no idea about how to root for a team that is winning.
    >>>>>who cares how they root? Utterly irrelevant unless you are insecure about your own “fanhood”. Seems as though you are, since you appear to be very discreet about disclosing which team you are a fan of.
When Pats fans cease criticizing the fans and players of other teams, then criticism of your fans and players will cease as well.
    >>>>>Uh, pal, even if I were to go along with this moronic assumption, which I do not, New England fans receive more sh*t than any other fanbase in the league. If this is incorrect, please, name me one other team that does.
I can talk football with the best of them
    >>>>>You are currently the laughingstock of PFT since “INVAIDUH” was banned. Due to your complete lack of anything relevant to say about football, and being a one trick pony Pats fan hater, the smart money says you get banned next.
Better for you to direct your “professional” opinions towards Pats fans who feel the constant need to attempt to tear down the rest of the teams in the league
    >>>>>Your obsession with what Pats fans say is disturbingly irrational. Again, who cares?
direct your “professional” opinions towards Pats fans who feel the constant need to attempt to tear down the rest of the teams in the league, despite the fact that the Pats are five years removed from any Super Bowl title and have been surpassed not only by the Steelers but also by several other teams.
    >>>>>Then, by your logic, they are completely irrelevant, and you are wasting your time obsessing over a lowly, past its prime, fading into the sunset franchise. Somehow, this strikes me as disingenuous.
they continue to object when their team is characterized as “old”.
    >>>>>they don’t. Even if they did, why does it concern you?
Feel free to continue to attempt to assassinate my character as I could care less what you all think
    >>>>>You have no character to assassinate, and apparently you do care…since the grammatical phrase would be “couldn’t care less”.

  46. Laughed my AAS off at Borio’s pathetic display! God BLESS ya, kid!
The Steelers are a great team, and I love’m…But it is AMAZING how many of y’all’re ridden with such a blatant Toxic Inferiority Complex!
Listening to clowns like Borio bleat and squeal as they try to pimp up the Steeler’s recent accomplishments, and ignore the elephant in the room is pathetic, true, but is hilarious, as well.
After the Rockets won 2 Titles in Jordan’s absence about 15 years ago, I imagine there were a few Rocket fans saying “Jordan Who?”, as well, with both hands over their ears! Hah!
The Patriots have dominated this Millennium, and nobody knows that better than fans of the Steelers, who’ve been our BEYOTCHES for the last 10 years!
Good luck with that Toxic Inferiority Complex, bub! Keep blubbering, though. We do enjoy watching you TWITCH!!!

  47. Hey Rex… how many Super Bowls have you won?
Heck, how many games have you won?
Belichick can take the high road here – he has nothing to prove. Ryan, on the other hand, might want to see his team perform on the field before he starts running at the mouth.

  48. @both BELOW the fray and Unfilledyet
Obviously, both of you care or you wouldn’t have bothered to respond to my comments. Funny how you Pats fans can’t take any criticism of your team and fan base yet feel unfettered to be critical of all others. You both are so obviously insecure that it is laughable that you would even accuse any others of being so as well.
The only laughingstocks here are Pats fans like you who can’t take the heat here and that pray that posters like me who are critical of your team get banned so that you can go on in your ignorant bliss about how your team is something special (they aren’t). Three Super Bowls in fifty years of its existence is hardly anything to brag about, especially given that many other teams have more titles in that same time span. Learn how to be a bit more humble as a fan base and you will find that many poster will cut you some slack. It is the arrogance of the bandwagon Pats fans like you two that iritates the rest of the NFL fan base, not any ridiculous “Toxic Inferiority Complex” conspiracy theory that you New England idiots dream up.
Congratulations on the grammar catch, BELOW, I’m sure that it serves you well in your job as kindergarten teacher.

  49. Florio continues to stoke the fire…
Has anyone stopped to think that what Belichick said so nicely, is just Belichick’s way of saying the same thing as Ryan? Everyone has “their” way, and being load and obnoxious is just Ryan’s way…
    character versus charisma
Both are good tools to use in football.

And that’s why I’m so greatly amused at the obvious Toxic Inferiority Complex of characters like Borio and Joey’s Pickle Puffer: If I was a Steeler fan, I would be SO damned happy about things, that you’d NEVER catch me hating on another team!

Particularly sad given the fact that someone like you thinks that he is ABOVE the fray when he is anything but. As for my “self righteousness” and the “irony” of my so-called “hypocrisy”, guess what, it is directly modeled on the New England stereotype. Odd that you can easily criticize it when it comes from a fan from the other side, but continue to wear blinders when the same behavior is exhibited constantly and to excess from the Pats side of the stands. Try looking in the mirror, BELOW the fray, you might not like what you see, but at least you won’t be the hypocrite that you accuse me of being.

  57. Heh! My LORD, you dedicate a lot of time to explaining yourself, for a guy who allegedly doesn’t care what others think!
As always, your impotent and helpless rage is very amusing and GREATLY appreciated! Please drive through! :o)

  58. Wow florioborio- I must be honest, I didn’t really agree with you after reading your first 50 or 100 posts about what horrible individuals Patriots fans are.
But now that you put it that way, I see your point. Pats fans have wronged many people with our arrogance and lack of empathy- especially your beloved Jets…or is it your beloved Steelers? No matter, on behalf of Patriots fans, please allow me to apologize for any slights or misunderstands that may have transgressed.
What do you say, sport? Again, I am personally very sorry. I hope you can find it in you to forgive and (try to) forget. Lets smoke the peace pipe and bygones be bygones. K?.
    Warmest regards,
    hayward

  59. @ unfiltered…
tsk tsk, my friend. Lets be honest with ourselves. We as fans have been a weeeee bit arrogant, and we do owe good, honest football fans like Mr. Borio an apology.
I only speak for myself, but I think its time to look in the mirror, and ask ourselves…how did we allow it to come to this? It is our nastiness and arrogance which has alienated others, perhaps causing irreparable harm. We must change and resolve to put this ugliness behind us. We do not want to be a laughingstock, do we? Please, join me.

  60. Owl Shit.
You’re a good man, Hayward, one’f the best and fairest writers around these parts, from what I’ve seen in my brief time, here, and one’f the most intelligent and objective.
However, you’re WAY out of line on this one. I suspect you’ve been struck with a case of Toxic Success Guilt, very common around these parts! ;o)
You direct a paragraph at me in which you state that “we” have become a bit arrogant, and actually have the galactic audacity to suggest I proffer Borio an apology.
First off, who the hell are you, to call me arrogant? Do you have a single ounce of evidence to support that insult?
Any remotely objective look at my posts can not fail to see that I only return fire when debris from other cities write in insulting terms about the Patriots, or about such fans as we have that are fair and objective. Mindless Patriot fans ~ the ones who show no objectivity, and only Hate on the other teams ~ receive NO such moral support from me, as SHOULD be clear to you.
ANY objective look at my posts will note that I am quite ready, at all times, to heap praise on other teams and fans, and, indeed, to throw the LEGIONS of BAD Yankee ~ that is: New England ~ fans DIRECTLY under the bus, as the situation warrants, which is ~ this much, you and I agree on ~ ALL too often.
For you to misjudge me as COMPLETELY as you have, and to then follow through on that with this extraordinarily presumptuous suggestion that I and other APOLOGIZE to Borio, is UNSPEAKABLY arrogant. How ironic.
It’s time for you to take you own advice, and look in the mirror, pal: Just because you have some deep-seated psychological issue that compels you to assume that we’re the bad guys…doesn’t make it so.
Some of us most certainly ARE the bad guys. But use a little judgment, for Christ’s sake.
I’m amazed that a man of your evident intelligence would miss something so incredibly obvious: While we Yankees ~ as I have said many times ~ have LEGIONS of idiots amongst our number, there are even more such donkeys outside our borders…And it’s my perception ~ one which many intelligent people concur with ~ that a great deal of the nastiness that’s transpired over the years ~ and perhaps the great majority of it ~ derive from simple Jealousy.
Need I explain to you that being King of the Mountain arouses the enmity and jealousy of legions of so-called fans, who consequently voice their bitterness in the most vile of terms?
Need I explain to you that any intelligent and objective fan who made it his business to learn the entire, detailed story of SpyGate knows that it was merely a WitchHunt RESULTING from that virulent, nationwide jealousy; a technicality ~ the nature of which ALL 32 teams regularly engage in!!! ~ that was blown up into a big show, because Gutless Goodell caved into a nationwide jealousy?
Need I explain, therefore, that any gutless Chump who willfully chooses to ignore the overwhelming and public evidence, and, furthermore, disrespects the Patriots and Coach Bill with vile and despicable terms and accusations…deserves only derisive laughter, scorn, and contempt???
Evidently, I DO need to explain that to you…because you think that pointing and laughing at these scum makes US the bad guys.
Patriot fans are having the time of their LIVES. We have been incredibly blessed, this decade, more completely, in fact, than any other region in any decade in History. It is only natural that we would want to reach out in Cyber Life, as well as Real Life, and share and celebrate our good fortune with each other.
And I’m damned if I’m going to apologize for that.
Perhaps the only thing more obnoxious than either the legions of obnoxious “fans” we have who DO draw the fire of honest fans around the country, and the obnoxious Haters who can’t stand our blessings and our success…are those of our number who *ahem* seem to feel some deeply twisted sense of GUILT about our good fortune…and decide to betray the lot of us by ~ incredibly ~ APOLOGIZING to those who speak with venomous, despicable, and transparently bitter jealousy about our beloved team!
More appropriate would be if you apologized to US, for throwing us under the bus, BUB.

  61. “Good, honest football fans like Mr Borio…”
    WHAT???
Here’s a very recent post from him, just this Tuesday, to…YOU:
“Get over yourself, heywood jablowbillbelichick (oh wait, you already did).”
Yep! Quite the “good, honest football fan” is Borio! BOO yah!!

  62. Um, this stopped being fun about 20 threads ago.
Let it go guys. We are (should be anyway) just having fun here. There’s no need to take any of it personaly…
… and a 1.5 page word document at Ariel 10 font is taking it pretty personal…

  63. Well, I’M having fun! Sorry if YOU aren’t!
A word of advice: Only Chumps and Cowards don’t take personal things personally, my friend! No charge! ;o)

The only impotence here is yours, most likely why you are always the “bottom” when you and heywood jablowtheentirepatsteam get together for a “steamy session”.
Thanks for confirming your arrogance as to how you are so above it all. Your extensive diatribe only confirms your hypocrisy. Thanks for explaining YOURSELF, fool. It only confirms my low opinion of you.

I will continue to react accordingly to each post that I read. Innocuous ones will be greeted with a nod or slight chuckle, while obnoxious ones will get the response that they deserve.
BTW, you might want to pass that same advice along to New England fans as well (especially those who can’t get over the Yankees sheer dominance of the Red Sox, not for a mere decade, but for nearly a century). Seems to me that there are quite a bit of bitter New England baseball fans that could sure use your advice despite the Red Sox’s recent successes.

  66. Unfiltered, your attempt to explain away Spygate as a witchhunt is laughable. Belichick was put in his place because he WILLFULLY disobeyed a direct memo that was sent to all 32 teams, hardly a “technicality”. He got smacked down, as he should have, by the Commissioner for being arrogant and no amount of excuses will negate that.

  67. Unfiltered’s 1.5 page diatribe translated into New England speak (Webster’s Abridged Version):
    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  68. Unfiltered:
Just FYI, my post was intended purely as satire. I do realize though that sarcasm does not translate well over the computer, though.
Note my that tongue in cheek post to you followed my highly patronizing and overly condescending post to borio. Just trying to get a rise out of the kid and see how much more he can embarrass himself. Obviously, no self respecting Pats fan would say anything such as I did with a straight face, or say “Good, honest football fans like Mr Borio…” .

Too bad that Unfiltered is an even more idiotic poster than you are, heywood jablowbillbelichick, that he cannot recognize satire.
As for your tongue in cheek post, the only cheek that your tongue was firmly implanted in was Bill Belichick’s, either at his desk or in some seedy motel room where you reside. As far as embarrassment is concerned, you and your fellow Pats fans should be the ones who are embarrassed for the lame crap that you all post here as well as the overly sensitive feelings that you all exhibit here (but then again, New England fans are all overly s-s-s-sen-s-s-sitive from what I hear).

  70. Whether or not Belichick took the high road here is debatable, but what is not debatable is the low road that most Pats fans take on a regular basis, the “dirt road”.

  71. 6 posts in a ROW!!!
Good GOD, what an hilarious display!!
Hey, it’s a good thing that Borio “doesn’t give a shit what any of us think” around, here, EH???
Bubby, I have NEVER seen anybody more desperate for validation than you!!
But, hey…Good luck with that! ;o)
    ***
Thanks, Hayward! Initially, I was dead sure that your posts were sarcasm! Shoulda gone with my first instincts, but, as you say, it’s hard to discern!
