Will The Cowboys Bring Back Pacman?

Earlier this month, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones ping-ponged on the question of whether he might give cornerback Pacman Jones another chance to play in Dallas.
Initially, Jones hinted that he might.
Then, Jones said that he has no plans to do so.  (But, as T.O. knows, plans can change.)
There’s a rumor making the rounds that Pacman Jones is still living on property owned by Jerry Jones.
As the rumor goes, Pacman will eventually be re-signed by the Cowboys.  Though a league source confirmed the first part of the rumor, the source believes that, in the end, the Cowboys won’t be bringing him back.
If not the Cowboys, we’re not sure where else Pacman might land.  On a brighter note, however, he has managed to stay out of trouble so far this year, so maybe someone will give him a shot.

  1. You know, people badmouth Jerry Jones for brining “turds” onto his team.. But maybe he really is just a warm hearted guy, who believes in giving people another chance–even if he shouldn’t. He’s one of the only owners I can recall interacting with all players, former and current. And its damn decent to let somebody live in your house for free(presumably). Even if that somebody is PacMan Jones

  2. Florio, WTF? Was this really necessary? You know the incessant Cowboys bashing that is sure to follow shortly thereafter writing this crap? Were you bored?

  3. “As the rumor goes, Pacman will eventually be re-signed by the Cowboys. Though a league source confirmed the first part of the rumor, the source believes that, in the end, the Cowboys won’t be bringing him back.”
…jeez, I just stepped in the same pile of crap…twice!

  4. What I never understood, how is the team providing around the clock security detail, and year round housing not a violation of the salary cap? It compensation, thus must be accounted for.
And Dirk.Diggler if you want bashing, its been 4556 days since the Cowboys won a playoff game.

  5. The strip clubs of Dallas are really feeling this recession, they are thrilled to hear this news.

  6. Dirk Diggler: the Cowboys suck a 13″…. forget it. If I finished Cowboycrazy would call me classless cause the guys he works with in Philly tease him for being a Cowboys fan.

  7. Today Vox Veritas said: “If it ain’t Cowboys, it ain’t news.”
And a few days ago Vox Veritas said: “Welcome to Pissburghsportstalk.com”
You cry when the stories are about the Cowboys and then you cry when they are.

  8. They will probably bring him back. His character issues are no worse than Michael Irvin’s. . Only problem is that Irvin was a good wide receiver and Pacman can’t cover anyone on the Eagles.

  9. “You cry when the stories are about the Cowboys and then you cry when they are. ”
I cry about the slant of the stories, dumbass. According to PFT, almost everything related to the Steelers is positive and almost everything related to the Cowboys is negative.
Maybe if the Steelers had done something like this for Mike Webster he wouldn’t have become a homeless bum ritalin addict that somebody found living under a bridge one day.

  10. Its only a matter of time before Newman goes down for a few weeks and he will be signed…
Than Newman can return just in time as Pacman is getting suspended again…

  11. Florio, you certainly fulfilling the “Rumors” part of the website, did your background research find any validity to the rumor? Or did you do any background research? Who started this rumor and do they have any credibility?
And if it’s true, should you not be hammering Jones for repeated changing of his mind and saying this hurts his legacy and how he should retire. Like, I don’t know a quarterback you love to kick around and faithfully report every rumor associated with?

  12. Maybe Jerry is worried about league discipline if he brings in a turd. What ever happened to that policy.

  13. God, I hope they do bring him back. Between Romo and his questionable leadership skills, the spineless Wade Phillips, the loss of T.O., Jerry Jones (aka Skellator) running the team into the ground and Vox’s blindness of how much of a turd his team has become…this is like manna from heaven.
    E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!!!

  14. Vox cried: “I cry about the slant of the stories, dumbass. According to PFT, almost everything related to the Steelers is positive and almost everything related to the Cowboys is negative.”
You’re an idiot if you really believe what you just typed. There were exactly 2 positive stories, one when the Pens won the Stanley cup and the other when the Steelers got their rings. Other than that, we had 3 separate stories on the favoritism Holmes got when his misdemeanor pot charge was dismissed and another complaining about when the Rooney Rule was expanded. Before that, it was the barrage of posts about the Harrison dog incident. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about any of those stories being posted, but it baffles my mind that anyone would say “almost everything related to the Steelers is positive”.

  15. With how good Orlando Scandrick Is playing in camp and Mike Jenkins not being football smart. I see it happening. Jenkins is another bust!
