Tommie Harris jumps into Urlacher-Cutler fray

Man, we love Twitter.

We still hate the name, but we love the technology. It provides an instant line of communication between NFL players, fans, and the media, putting everyone in the same computerized room and allowing any two or more of them to have a conversation.

We’ve had some entertaining banter today with Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco (whom we find to be extremely entertaining and we wish him only the best this year . . . and we mean that even though it sounds sarcastic), and we just realized that Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris has sent us a “tweet,” too.

Regarding the contention by Vikings receiver Bobby Wade that Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher said during the offseason that new Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler is a “pussy,” Harris had this to say: "[Urlacher] didn’t say that u guys are full of it and tell bobby wade will see about that.....”

Look, all we’re doing is reporting what Wade said on the air. So even if some dude who uses his best contemplative senior picture (he should have stuck with the “ninth grade dorky smile mom plastered down my hair with a handful of spit” pose) at the Chicago Sun-Times thinks that it’s not newsworthy, it was -- and it is.

Especially if it’s true.

Whether it is or isn’t true doesn’t matter for now. The point is that a member of the Vikings offense said that the leader of the Bears defense said something extremely unflattering about the new leader of the Bears offense.

And if anyone doesn’t think that’s sufficiently intriguing to be mentioned, we recommend that you apply for a job in ESPN’s “which civil lawsuits involving pro athletes should we ignore” department.
