We’re catching snippets of Tony Dungy’s appearance on The Dan Patrick Show while juggling a couple of radio spots, but we just heard Dungy say something that caught our ear.
Per Dungy, Eagles coach Andy Reid decided to sign quarterback Mike Vick “sight unseen,” from a physical standpoint.
So the Eagles signed Vick without having an idea as to whether he still has any gas left in the tank.
Our guess? Reid realized there was no way to kick Vick’s tires without letting the cat out of the bag.
Dungy also said that he hoped Vick would have been signed by the Steelers.
