Brady Quinn to start tonight against the Packers

In the Cleveland Browns’ ongoing quarterback derby, former first-round draft pick Brady Quinn has received the starting nod for tonight’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

This development is being reported by the Browns’ official Twitter account.

And the Tweet notes that Quinn and former Pro Bowl selection Derek Anderson remain listed as co-starters on the depth chart.

Browns coach Eric Mangini has repeatedly downplayed the significance of who starts which preseason games.

With Mangini’s secretive approach to virtually every football-related matter, it’s not as if he would emphasize the importance of Quinn starting anyway.
