Al Michaels of NBC best described the torrent of boos that greeted former Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler in his return to Denver.
“The crowd is acting like one collective spurned lover,” said Michaels, who’s calling the game with Cris Collinsworth. (On NBC.)
Michaels said that Cutler thought the reaction to his return might be mixed.
Said Michaels: “That ain’t mixed.”
The boos became cheers, however, once Cutler’s opening drive fizzled via a three and out.
