Ravens-Chargers one-liners

Ravens LB Ray Lewis called the tackle that clinched Baltimore’s 31-26 win over San Diego “one of the greatest plays” of his Hall of Fame career.

According to Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun, WR Demetrius Williams is in the Ravens coaching staff’s doghouse due to poor work ethic.
The Ravens are using RB Le’Ron McClain as almost strictly a lead blocker after he led the team with 10 touchdowns in 2008.
Ravens S Dawan Landry’s third-quarter interception Sunday was his first since 2006.
Chargers fans booed their team heavily entering the locker room at halftime, with San Diego in a 21-16 hole.
The Bolts’ five passing plays of 25 yards Sunday were their most as a franchise in 12 years.
San Diego struggled badly at the point of attack against Baltimore and risks being leaky against the run without NT Jamal Williams (triceps, injured reserve).
The Chargers were also inefficient in the red zone, settling for four field goals when they had the ball inside Baltimore’s 10-yard line Sunday.

  1. The link to the Ray Lewis story goes to a column about the Tony Romo taking the blame for the Cowboys loss.

  2. Two good teams. Ray-Lew is a beast.. cant wait to see him and A.D> go toe to toe in Minneapolis Oct. 18 at the triple H Metrodome.

  3. starting off: I am a Charger fan.
The Chargers have no heart, their defense is bad, Rivers can’t do that every week, they need to FIRE NORV TURNER. Their window of oppurtunity is closing if not already closed.

  4. sd deserved to lose for the horrible redzone playcalling, but that 4th qtr int to set up an extra ravens fg, was totally bogus
it was an illegal contact penalty that went uncalled

  5. HORRIBLE play calling for the Chargers!
What happened to the Rivers/Gates connection?
They NEED a WR to help out V. Jackson.

  6. yeah that horrible play calling that put up 26 points and allowed rivers to throw for over 400 yards, and once again the chargers are one of the youngest teams in the NFL, so if you think the window of opportunity is closing than your a damn fool.
also you think maybe the chargers had trouble in the redzone because they were playing without two starting lineman against one of the best defensive fronts in the nfl?
