Cards sell out for Sunday night

The Arizona Cardinals have announced that Sunday night’s game against the Colts has been sold out, and thus will be televised locally.

It’s the 36th straight sellout at University of Phoenix Stadium, dating back to the opening of the venue in 2006.

The Cardinals needed a 24-hour extension to sell out their home opener against the 49ers.

So far, two games will be blacked out this weekend -- Broncos-Raiders and Redskins-Lions.

Some feared the Rams might face a blackout, but it appears that the home opener against the Packers will be sold out.

So, by our count, that’s three non-sellouts in 48 games -- for a blackout rate of 6.25 percent.
