Moss off injury report, Welker questionable

Randy Moss, who played last week through a painful back injury, was taken off the injury report by New England Friday after completing a full practice.

Still uncertain for Sunday’s game against the Ravens is Wes Welker (knee), Vince Wilfork (ankle), and tackle Nick Kaczur (ankle). Welker participated in a limited part of practice all week, and took part of Friday’s practice, unlike last week when he wound up missing his second straight game.

Welker has struggled to shake the knee injury and there has been speculation that he could get his knee cleaned out at some point, possibly near the team’s bye week, so he could have a chance to return to full health.

For the Ravens, wide receiver Derrick Mason was added to the injury report as questionable with an illness, but hasn’t missed a game since 2002.

Backup quarterback Troy Smith is also questionable with an illness, so John Beck could be Joe Flacco’s backup against New England.

UPDATE: Though he returned to practice this week, linebacker Jerod Mayo remains doubtful with a sprained MCL. He suffered the injury in Week One against the Bills.
